The other reviews do not overstate the impressive nature of the bottle collection here, it’s a sight to behold. But, what made this a favorite stop for us on our adventures in Rapid City was the attentive and helpful service and unpretentious willingness to educate in all things whiskey. The old fashion recommendation was excellent and the gin based cocktail that the bartender created on the spot was delicious and well presented. If you enjoy the art of the drink and are looking for a unique spot to visit this place should be at the top of your list – they may even deserve a sixth star.

Truly a bewildering array of liquor with friendly and knowledgeable staff to help with your decision overload. Tasty cocktails, especially their barrel aged old fashioned options. It’s definitely a one of a kind place in Rapid City and well worth checking out.

Simply the best – the best craft cocktails, the best whiskey selection, the best bottle display (just breathtaking, sincerely). To Justin, Jeane, and Heidi – thank you so much for making our visit so enjoyable and oh so memorable. I left with a bunch of memories but one stands out from the rest, whiskey is meant to be drank and is best enjoyed with friends. Appreciate the hospitality and hope to see you all again.

This place is amazing. The owner and staff clearly put a lot of effort into making the Windsor Block a premiere whiskey and cocktail bar. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen such a comprehensive list of whisk(e)ys in one place. If you’re a fan of bourbon, scotch or American, Irish or Japanese whiskey, this place is definitely worth trying out. I’ll be coming back the next time I’m in RC.

One of the best Manhattans I’ve had in Rapid. An amazing selection of liquors. Anything you want, you can get here. Warm, welcoming environment, extremely knowledgeable and accommodating staff, and the atmosphere at Windsor is really quite incredible. We really enjoyed our night here.

Great cocktail place. Great selection of bourbon and other liquors. Highly recommend! My favorites are the bee’s knees and the amaretto sour. You can’t go wrong with the barrel aged old fashioned either!

Emilio is THE best. Extremely ambitious as a person and very knowledgeable and professional as a bartender. The first time my gf brought me here on our girls day, Emilio greeted us, walked us through their menus and offered, if we didn’t see anything on the menu that we liked, to make us a bartender’s choice cocktail in which he would take into consideration our favorite spirit and flavor profile and surprise us! Well I wasn’t that brave so we ordered off the menu. Drinks were amazing so I came back and brought my husband on a date. He’s from Miami so RC is culture shock for him, but he gave me the benefit of the doubt and we had the same amazing service and experience ONLY this time, we took Emilio up on his offer to surprise us! Now, I used to be a bartender. There’s a reason I don’t trust a “dealers choice”, I’m picky!! But Emilio did NOT disappoint. We told him, we’ll take whatever you want to make us! He made us TWO rounds of perfection. Wow! All I have to say is RC is beyond lucky to have this bar and Emilio’s talent and passion because we tried a weeks worth of things to do and outside of seeing my friends and family I was bored and bummed..until our experience at Windsor Block Bar. The impecable service, the abundant spirit inventory, the cool, cohesive ambiance..I feel like I’m back in the big city. Finally have somewhere to hang when we come back to visit! Emilio also has a restaurant called Juniper I can’t wait to try. Thanks Emilio!
