We went for a Christmas brunch buffet. Nice restaurant nestled inside the hotel. The hotel appears to be a little upscale. We had 6 in our party, varying from 16 to 80+. The featured meats were prime rib, carved ham and a breaded baked fish. The serving staff on the buffet were very friendly and helpful. The prime rib was cooked past it’s prime, the fish appeared to be also. The salad bar was less than inspired, some iceberg lettuce with a few toppings. We were towards the end of the service, so things might have been better earlier. The desert table was good, very limited selection by the time we got to it.

Not the typical hotel buffet in Kerrville. A bit classier. This is one of the top two local hotels in the area.

Stayed at the hotel, didnt really eat in the restaurant, but they were kind enough to get me hot water for my jello that i make like tea. (It helps with jetlag and settling my stomache.)
I loved walking around the hotel and the quantness they developed within their landscaping. Their pools and waterfalls were so peaceful.
I want to build a pool back home like theirs!
(Loved it)

Lovely place, food is great. Ask a staff for calendar of what buffet is serving and price.
Kid and toddler friendly. Free buffet for under age 6. Easier on Mama and toddler eat since food is ready and variety choice for Toddler. Love the history pictures. Staff are very helpful.

We used to take our friends to the Alpine Lodge Restaurant for Sunday brunch when we had a special event. The decor was charming with the German/Swiss cuckoo clocks, the dessert tables had beautifully-displayed and made-from-scratch deliciousness, the made-to-order omelettes were a treat and service was fantastic. Service is still fantastic, but what happened?!?! The entire buffet is a fraction of what they had, obviously doesn’t have the same level of chef preparation, and the special ambiance is gone. Unfortunately, the price stayed the same. We took our friend from a nursing home out for what we thought would be a special treat. We were so, so disappointed. Her prime rib was chewy and the desserts were dry. Sad to see the end of an era. We won’t be going back.

The food was pretty good only reason I took a star off was because of the price a little too high for my liking

Stay was calm. Staff was very helpful, has a great bar with live music on Saturday. Breakfast was your original hotel breakfast nothing you haven’t had in other hotels. That was the only thing I didn’t like was the extra you had to pay for breakfast when its nothing extra! Great hotel overall clean and relaxing…

We went there for Easter brunch. The buffet was underwhelming and not worth the price. There were just a few sides. They ran out of shrimp within 15 minutes of us arriving. They ran out of dessert by the time we finished our meal. My mother was looking forward to carrot cake. We had to stop at Walmart and pick dessert up on the way home.

Three for bad marketing. On their giant street sign they advertise buffets, but on their web site, there’s barely any mention of the buffet. I finally found the price of the buffet on the regular menu, but nothing else. I figured maybe a rundown of what’s in each different buffet because it is a little pricy but could pique my interest more if I knew what’s being served, a reading of the menu is very enticing. When I try it I’ll write a real review. The place looks real nice and comfortable and it’s not a chain hotel.
