Wow — this is hands-down one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. I ordered the grilled teriyaki chicken and it was unbelievably tender and juicy — truly five-star quality, which is shocking in the best way considering it’s inside a mall. Even the steamed vegetables were amazing, which almost never happens and really says something about the care they put into their food.
If you’re craving Chinese food in Plattsburgh, you absolutely need to treat yourself to China Cafe. I’ll definitely be back!

I have ate here twice in the last couple of weeks. The 1st time enjoyed the made to order wonton soup, pork egg roll, sesame chicken and lo mein. Found everything very enjoyable except the lo mein. Found it lacked flavor.
2nd time tried the fried rice, much better than the lo mein!

Take out place in the food court. Serves the basic but popular options. What they lack in options they make up in expertise. The choices are few and simple but expertly done. Teddy and mom Chan are wonderful folks.

I was told this was the best place for Chinese food nearby, so I went. I had my doubts upon seeing the noodles, but went ahead anyway.
The noodles definitely seem like stir fried spaghetti noodles as opposed to egg noodles, and there were maybe 2-3 shreds of carrots in there. The sesame chicken tasted a bit off, and the pork, while not the most tender, was really the standout in my meal. The egg roll I had was massive and actually quite tasty.
I did appreciate the service and the smiling faces. It’s always that amazing service from great people that makes me rethink writing a bad or lukewarm review…
Overall, I can say the service, speed of service, and good customer service earn this place 3 stars. The food is lacking in flavor, and the price vs quality prevented me from giving the last 2.

We finally went to see what the hype was about. Friendly service, the place appeared to be clean, and the food was fresh. But, everything was so under-seasoned and bland! The steamed veggies had absolutely no flavor, the chicken was cooked nicely but again, just bland. Spring rolls were just like any other fast Chinese restaurant. Glad to have checked it out, but probably wouldn’t go back.

This has place always been a favorite of mine, for as long as I can remember growing up here in the North Country. It remains the only family owned business with consistently outstanding food even after covid and the lockdown. Outstanding food that I have repeatedly went back for, whether by begging my parents or by going myself since I got my license. The quality and taste of the food is consistent, always amazing and filling. The staff is friendly, and due to repeatedly coming back for the food, my family and I have come to know the owner a little and know that he is a hard working man who is very kind, working as fast as he can while also making conversation. This is a place I will always come back to, and a place I will remember if I move away or they some day close

Best Chinese in town and the best bang for your buck hands down. Serves up heaping takeout containers of food. Teddy is a great personable guy and a bit of a local legend. The mall food court is an… interesting location to be in this day and age but it’s good enough I’ll go out of my way just to stop by and grab a plate.
