We came here for lunch since we were in the area. The yeamans hall shopping center where this restaurant is pretty unrecognizable in a good way.
We ordered the vanilla milkshake and strawberry milkshake. Which I vote delicious for the vanilla milkshake.
We ordered the pizza and this is the thin pizza.
We also ordered the crispy brussel sprouts and general tso chicken wings and they both pretty good.
We were pretty happy with the food and the milkshake and so did the kids. We call that a win!

Great sports bar feel. We were instantly turned off as we entered, one of the taller male workers with a beard and gray shirt stood there leaned against the bar and just stared at us for 5-10 seconds (we were trying to figure out where to go because the front entrance is not obvious) until finally a female bartender saw us looking around and asked us if we needed help or a table. We asked if there were blinds to let down to block the sun and were told no they didn’t have any. 5 mins later a different worker let down blinds to the table right next to us, then we asked again and he put ours down.
Our service was slow but friendly. It took a good bit before noticing/finally getting our check at the end.
Pork Katsu was super crispy and great portion. Needs to have more coleslaw or more of an aioli/sauce that comes with it. Looks like there was maybe a slather of BBQ sauce but overall made this very dry. It would’ve been a really good sandwich if it wasn’t dry.
General tso wings were also dry. Sauce was pretty good but heavy on the salt. Needs to dilute the sauce slightly. These are naked wings with sauce, no batter.
Hotdog Parm was an interesting twist and tasted great, but likely wouldn’t get again. Basically a regular hotdog with some pizza dough as it’s bun with marinara and cheese. Fun though!
Fries may have the star of the show. They are PERFECTly cooked, crispy, soft inside, and addicting. Their seasoning or flavors make you want more and more and more. These saved the day.
We didn’t get to try their milkshakes or dirty sodas but would be back to try that.
Generically a good hometown spot for slightly above average american food. Probably nice for watching some games as they had a lot of TVs and good outdoor seating. Seems like probably a lot of new staff getting used to the new place, but super off putting with their lack of knowledge and seemingly attitudes.

Absolutely fantastic spot to grab a meal! Even though there wasn’t a host available when we walked in, the bartender greeted us right away and got us seated quickly.
I tried the Grinder, the Meat Stick 3000, and the corn puppies — all of them came out hot, flavorful, and totally delicious. The timing was perfect too; we didn’t have to wait long at all.
The atmosphere is super unique, with a charming rustic feel and a fun old-school gas station theme. It really adds to the whole experience.
I’d definitely recommend Johnny’s Garage to friends, family, or anyone looking for great food in a laid-back, memorable setting. Thanks for the awesome meal!

Decided to try one of Charlestons newest venues in Hanahan called Johnny’s garage. The place is great with a great bar and a super nice patio area which is where I choose to eat. They have a large stage area there as well. The service was great and timely, and the food was brought to the table fast and piping hot. I loved their fries the best. They were light golden brown, crispy on the outside and tender inside the way quality fries should be. I highly recommend this place. I only gave it 4 stars because it was hard to distinguish which door you go into and didn’t see handicap parking. But I will definitely be heading back soon. And I highly recommend the Parm dog and fries

The food was really good and the menu is simple but has everything you need. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. The General Tso wings were absolutely delicious — definitely the highlight for us! We’ll definitely be coming back to try more.

This is a new light menu eatery and bar in Hanahan, SC. The place was an old filling station remodeled into an interesting place. It looked kind of cool so we tried it. Service was cheerful and good. The atmosphere was interesting. The menu mostly light bar style of hamburgers and pizzas, etc. There is a bar for beer and liquor.
I think this place has potential but the food was just fair, the prices a bit high. IMO, the menu needs to be modified to offer good, simple meals at reasonable prices.

Been around earlier this year, but just heard about this place and had to check it out. Fantastic atmosphere with plenty of outside seating, which is covered for those rainy days. Inside and bar seating as well along with a lounge room you can reserve for bigger parties. Seat yourself. Service was friendly and they checked on you often. Food was great! We tried the Overachiever Pie and Dirty South Pie. New York styled crust which made the pizza foldable, but not too much bread. We also tried the General Tso’s wings. Excellent flavor. Crispy Brussel Sprouts, and Pickled Shrimp, which had a mild pickle flavor so it wasn’t overpowering. Price didn’t break the bank. Plenty of TV’s if you love to watch football. Parking was a little bit of a challenge simply because this is still new and it shares a Parking lot with other businesses. Overall a great experience!

The non-alcoholic dirty sodas are a great alternative to mocktails. The decor is fun – garage and car themed without being overwhelming. The atmosphere is loud and social.

Visited Johnny’s Garage the other night, for some drinks. The atmosphere abd vibe was amazing. The bar stools were bench seats from vehicles. If you are a motor head or not come check this place out. We plan on coming back to try the pizza.
