I just gulped down the most pleasant and delicious lavender ice latte which was highly recommended from Adriana. The iced latte itself did not disappoint and had a very elegant taste that I really surprised me. She was very kind and sweet in her service and represents Native Son with the upmost professional that I feel should be recognized. Not only I want to come back a try more desserts and drinks but to also enjoy the atmosphere Native Son gives off. A wonderful Afternoon with class and style. Check it out of you haven’t already and try the classic El capital cookie and there peanut butter chocolate mousse cake.

Native Son is my favorite spot in downtown Merced, it is a cozy modern atmosphere & i was welcomed right away by Adriana. She made the experience here so welcoming & fun that ive been back 3 days in a row lol the wine was great, breakfast burrito was delicousss ive never had a breakfast burrito with sweet potatoes. The strawberry mango lemonade was refreshing & totally post worthy! the star of the show for me was the banana matcha, id been trying to find one in Merced & i will be back over & over again. 10/10 everything, thank you Adriana you’re fantastic & all the guest love you!

Love this little gem in the walkable part of downtown Merced. Super friendly staff all around (whassup Adriana!) and great vibe. Upscale without being pretentious! Catch a game, hang with friends, do a little online work -if you must- check it out! You’ll be pleasantly surprised!

This place is truly a unique fine in Merced. The location contemporary, beautiful and sophisticated. The plants are real lol, that’s a big plus. We were shocked that this place even existed in this part of California, but we will make sure to spend a weekend in the hotel and enjoy the restaurants in this neighborhood. Adriana was a sweetheart and was so happy to show us this corner Cafe. Thank you and we will be back

I live here in Merced but go to work out at the Native Son cafe, I LOVE the service. I can bring my dog and Adriana always hooks up the best coffee drinks that are sugar free. Best place in town!

We sat at the bar and had a couple drinks. The bartender, Adriana, even though she was busy she maintained great customer service and made great drinks. She was the perfect bartender for this Thanksgiving holiday by being friendly and making us feel festive. Would love to see her working every holiday! We’ll definitely be going back to Native son

Me and my husband decided to go downtown to get out for my birthday and we ended up here to have a few drinks, we loved the drinks but the biggest thing was the atmosphere, I really enjoyed it, also the girl that hosted us and made our drinks Adriana R had the perfect balance of hospitality but also just let us be. Loved that! She was great at multitasking and taking care of everyone that came in. She appeared cool and calm while getting it all done.

Walked in for breakfast with hubby there’s only one other couple inside. The two girls at the counter don’t say hi or offer menus. You can directly go up to the counter or have them approach you. They weren’t hospitable at a simple Welcome or Hello. I grabbed the menu myself took a glance, & decided to go next to Rainbird, super helpful and attentive. Direct eye contact and offered coffee immediately with better breakfast options. Go to Rainbird! I’ve been there multiple times already, always the same hospitable approach. They’re open for breakfast everyday Google has not adjusted the schedule.

My family and friends love to come to Native Son in the morning for coffee, my cousins and I get together and we hope we have the same barista! We’ve been a few times and we finally asked her for her name! Adrianna makes the experience better and everytime we get here we hope she’s here! She’s amazing and sweet!
