The food was absolutely below mid. For what we paid, the quality didn’t even come close. There was ZERO flavor. No seasoning, no depth, nothing. The lamb/kefta didn’t even look grilled — it wasn’t. It looked like processed, prepackaged frozen meat. Straight up gyro-meat-from-a-box vibes. The chicken? Completely bland. No flavor whatsoever.
Honestly, if you know real flavor and culture, you already know this isn’t it. Horrible experience.

We came during the grand opening and got a free platter. And also came back on a regular night. Very tasty chicken platter. The hummus is also good. Will definitely return to try some other things on the menu, although I’m happy with a platter and cost is fair.

I had a deeply disturbing and frankly insulting experience at Shah’s Halal Food, Reston(1474 North Point Dr, Reston, VA 20194) that I feel compelled to share. I placed an order through DoorDash, and was refused an order and insulted. I used my own DoorDash credits and offer on DoorDash to reduce the amount of an order from $13.98 to $2.69. When I went to collect the order the shop staff denied the order and said they won’t give out free food. I tried to reason with the person saying that they are getting paid somehow if I use my DoorDash credits so they should talk to DoorDash and fulfill my order. But they said they won’t and I should go away. I told them I’m not begging for food and no one should insult a customer like this for an advertisement they have made through DoorDash. This is the second time I had a bad experience at this branch Reston branch of Shah Halal. It’s simply not about the money, it’s about the insult, and bad customer service because I drove all the way to collect the order, I paid using my own DoorDash Credits, not the get insulted”

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I placed and paid for an online order specifically for the Reston location. When I arrived, the owner claimed they “don’t have an app” and refused to take responsibility for the charge.
Instead of resolving the issue, he was rude, dismissive, and openly hostile. His behavior was so unprofessional that he made my wife cry. There was no apology, no attempt to fix the mistake, and zero customer service—just arrogance.
If you can’t manage online ordering or treat paying customers with basic decency, you shouldn’t be in business. Avoid this location.

Food was good no complaints on how it was prepared, but I found 3 hairs and I had to stop eating. I didn’t finish it so god knows how many more hairs I would have found. I know they weren’t my hairs because they were short and thin.

Friday afternoon very tired just got up from the Work was very hungry. I ordered from uber oh my God, what a frustration I called her number multiple time. Their number doesn’t work it just beeps nonstop. I wanted to call to complain about the food I received that barely has any chicken or rice. It’s a very deceptive of them to not to keep with the standards they’re showing and committing on Uber.
First time I had ordered from Uber, the portion was full had chunks of chicken and more rice. I gave good reviews. 2nd time I ordered the portion is small. They did not put the hot sauce or any other sauces that I requested for and the chicken portion size reduced to bare minimum then shredded it into very tiny small Pieces. Very bad I will put a complain to uber bad quality and portion than what’s shown in the picture. Bad remarks and will complain to Uber about this if that’s how they trick their trusted customers or send it back
