The Red Velvet Drink was amazing! I loved the cream cheese cold foam topping.
Will definitely be back for more food and bring friends to hang out in the lounge. Doughnuts looked delicious too.

Stopped in at The Great Awakening for a coffee fix and oh man it was worth every bit of the drive! I tried the Campfire (my new favorite), along with the Sea Turtle, Honey Badger, and the Ansley. I’m a sucker for espresso, so of course I added an extra shot (don’t judge lol).

The ladies inside were amazing greeted me with warm smiles right when I walked in. I also want to shout out Jordan, who went above and beyond. Since I have a broken foot, she offered to bring my order out to my car. That kind of customer service is rare and so appreciated!

The coffee itself? Absolutely delicious. Plus, they offer a variety of milk options so you can order exactly to your liking.

If you’re anywhere near Summerville, do yourself a favor and stop by The Great Awakening. Thank you, ladies, for making my day and for making coffee that tastes this good!

This location has a decent sized parking lot with an additional small gravel lot. When I walked inside, I saw a brightly lit place with some seats to the side. There’s an ice cream area + a coffee area. I was greeted and offered a more extensive coffee menu that elaborated on the different coffee items. Prices are similar to traditional coffee, but much more variety. It seemed quite busy too; I saw plenty of families with kids enter in the afternoon.

There was an adult and his son probably helping out at this location. There’s also a separate seating area inside for customers who want to enjoy their items. Pretty tasteful for a coffee shop. I’m unsure if there’s wifi.

The coffee (I ordered The Bonnie) was very good. Price was a little high for a large, but probably comparable to in terms of price to what you get at any chain place like Starbucks. I recommend checking this place out!

Great coffee shop inside of an amazing store featuring so many wonderful items. Many local and regional artists have their art work and crafts featured here. Coffee was great. All things are so reasonably priced. The staff is amazing, warm and kind. Definitely a place to visit especially if you are traveling between Huntsville and Atlanta.

I absolutely love the vibe and concept of this place—it’s adorable and has so much potential. However, the coffee quality has really gone downhill. The last two drinks I ordered were almost completely white, with barely any coffee flavor. I like my coffee to taste like coffee—not like watered-down milk or ice water.

Most recently, on today 8/4/2025, I even ordered a hot coffee thinking it would be more consistent… unfortunately, it was still weak and bland. Tasted just like warmed up milk. I’ve really tried to give this place multiple chances because I wanted to love it, but after this last visit, I don’t think I’ll be returning. Just being honest!

Amazing coffee, good to know I can still get a great dirty chai in a small town. BUT for heaven’s sakes put a sign out to let people know there’s a coffee house here. It was like trying to find a small town secret to locate this coffee shop, which I guess is kind of it’s charm.

I love this place. I drive a little bit further to go to this coffee shop over the other one. I’ve tried them both, and overall the coffee and people are just leagues ahead. So friendly and always giving recommendations of new coffee flavors, which are always superb. The parking is a little tight, and the cement barriers make it a tad bit hard to get inside for a wheelchair user. I also think the inside could use a little sprucing up, but none of this takes away from my overall rating cause y’all are fantastic!

Precious place. Sweet and friendly staff. We ventured over from Desoto State Park so excited to find a local coffee shop actually open on Sunday! They have a huge selection of ice cream and fun sodas/themed drinks.

As for the coffee— we ordered the Campfire and the Bonnie, both iced. Both were so terribly sweet we couldn’t drink them. My husband loves sweet coffee drinks, and he did say that his campfire would’ve been awesome if it wasn’t so, so sweet. He really liked the flavors. Mine was just altogether so sweet I couldn’t tell if I might have liked it otherwise or not. There were a couple drinks on the menu that made mention of their sweetness, but neither of these did, so I was hoping we would be okay.

That said, I am a coffee connoisseur and it’s really my fault for not going for an old trusty cold brew or espresso. For most, a great spot. If you want your drink to really taste like coffee, stick to the basics! I’d still go back for the service and that ice cream (next time)!
