A worker in the back handling the pizzas was seen with hair in her face, which was very unappetizing.
Seating outside and a small bar on the wall inside.
Slices were reheated in the oven and served hot. Cashier was nice. I would likely not return here. I’d prefer the 1.25 hour drive to Apollonia’s pizza in LA. Best pizza we’ve ever had there!
They sell pizza by slice as well as whole pizzas. I usually buy the slices. It’s about $6-7 a slice. The only issue with that is that I usually go within an hour or two of closing and they usually run out of the special slice of the day closer to closing time. My favorites are the Detroit slices. It has a crunchy cheesy edge.
They have an app for rewards points. I haven’t earned anything so I can’t say much about that. It seems slow to gain rewards.
Service is stellar. The first time we went, we dined in and the Asian guy (maybe Patrick?) that served us knew the slice was kind of dark and overcooked, so he said we could get another slice to replace if it didn’t taste okay. Sure enough my boyfriend didn’t like the first slice. My boyfriend fell in love with the second, better slice. My bf said “if he didn’t give me that slice, I wouldn’t come back again. Base on the first slice, I wouldn’t come back again. Patrick is always enthusiastic and kind. We kept coming back after the service we received from him, but the pizza is really good too.
We tried the meatballs once, but the sauce wasn’t good. The sauce tasted weird.
They will always rectify anything not up to their standard. We are not people to complain about food or service to gain something. We are very non-confrontational. They have rectified anything they felt was less-than-ideal for the customer.
The size of this place is really small and not suited for large parties. There’s a few indoor seating and more outdoor seating.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the customer service, specifically from an employee named Patrick. I used to train customer service at United Airlines, so I don’t say this lightly: excellent service is obvious when you see it, and Patrick delivers it every single visit. I met him during his first week, and he’s been consistently professional since day one. He’s polite, genuinely engaged, and takes the time to be informative without being pushy or performative. He goes above and beyond in a way that feels natural, not scripted.
I also overheard him mention to coworkers that he drives over an hour to work here. That level of commitment says a lot. Management should recognize what they have in him; he raises the standard and reflects well on the brand. I hope Tony Gemignani and the team understand how much someone like Patrick adds to the overall experience. He’s the kind of employee who deserves a raise and an absolute path forward.
