Zest is a wonderful little café with a great selection and an incredibly convenient location inside Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. Everything is fresh and easy to grab, and the staff truly makes the experience — friendly, welcoming, and consistently amazing. Such a pleasant and reliable spot when you need a quick bite or coffee on campus.

I’ve read other reviews talking about price, well, it’s within a hospital, so expect convenience/captive audience prices.
Staff is very friendly & accommodating, food is delicious considering it is pre-made. Everything is fresh & very tasty. My one complaint is the Basque Cheesecake, don’t be fooled ladies & gentlemen, this is New York Cheesecake in a cute wrapper; the dessert itself is way too sweet to be Basque, in fact, it’s much sweeter than German Cheesecake. The center is supposed to be less firm & custard like, this is definitely cake like consistency. They should just call it Cheesecake & be done.

Derrida and Caitlyn were awesome ! So sweet and helpful. They added some unexpected joy to a hospital stay that prevented a father from attending his son’s wedding. Thank girls for your kindness !❤️ BTW, the cake was awesome !!

Sausage flatbread was delicious. The staff was accommodating and full of smiles ! In a time of worries it was a nice place to just sit for a minute and get it back together.

Without overstating, the food was great, the service was kind, and they were even good about making my grilled cheese without tomatoes. The snickerdoodle I had was the best I’ve had in years. Aside from the typical ouch prices you come to expect in a hospital eatery, everything was wonderful. Will definitely buy another snickerdoodle(or maybe 2) on the way out.

While staying in the hospital, I was very pleased to find such a good place to eat with a clean environment, amazing staff, and amazing food. Caroline and Harmony both took care of our food and got it out fast. LOVE this place! Will be back.

Update: waited in line to order jist two teas, only to be told it will be a while sknce they had to make 8 specialty coffee drinks ahead of me – they sell tea bags which could have been organized quickly with a couple cups of hot water while coffees in progress. Won’t go back.
Cute little cafe/grab-n-go inside Mayo. Friendly service and fast. Worst sandwich we have had in a long time. We have eaten at the Bundy Cafe a few times and had better luck. Worth a try though. Maybe only for coffee next time…
