Great service and nice decor. Note some tables have heaters hanging just above the tables, blowing quite hot air, so I had to move tables.

As for the food. The beautifully presented steamed seabass was very good, not too spicy, but tasty with a slight mala taste. Perhaps would have liked it with some more vegetables (such as the hot pot one that comes with bean sprouts etc)

The star of the show were the mushroom dumplings – incredibly tasty and umami. I’d go back just for those!

The egg fried rice wasn’t good – it lacked egg, and was a strange shiny greasy and grey colour, as if it had been fried in lots of oil instead of quickly cooked in a wok.

Toilets a bit cold, and the toilet bowl flushing mechanism should be improved.

Overall, I liked my meal, and will definitely go back to try the other seabass variations and the other dishes, especially the dumplings.

I wish we booked for the dim sum!!! It was beautiful to walk into. Staff are so professional. Food was exquisite. When drinks were not available, other options were and they were fantastic! I really wanted to try the lychee cocktail but went for espresso martini instead and it was lovely. Ladies loo was well appointed with enough toilet roll and soap and cream. Means wasn’t as neatly minded. All in all it was great. Will come back again for dimsum

We went here to have dinner for my wife birthday. We ordered several Chinese traditional food. All of the food taste well. My family love it. Finally they gifted a cake for my wife birthday and sung happy birthday. Strong recommend.

Too hard to get a table during peak hours and holidays. The price is a bit higher than other Chinese restaurants, but the food quality is worth it. Highly recommended.

As someone who is Chinese and who’s parents have very high standards, this place is our top spot for Chinese food in Dublin. Second time dining here and it doesn’t disappoint. Serving high quality dishes with traditional flavours and great service. The staff are attentive and kind.

A nice spot for authentic Chinese food. The dishes were flavorful and felt true to traditional Chinese cuisine, though a bit on the oily side. We ordered the whole Peking duck, which was served two ways — a great touch that gave us variety in taste and texture. The portion was generous, enough to comfortably feed 3–4 people. While the food was enjoyable, the prices were slightly on the higher side for Chinese food. Overall, a good place for a special meal or when you’re craving proper Chinese cooking.

Went for dinner at China Tang Monkstown tonight, super impressed with the quality of their dishes and their menu. Authentic flavour and very well presented.

The serving staff were new so less experienced but they tried their very best to help. The lady manager was professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Will definitely go back to try out their other dishes.

Great dimsum! My favourite so far in Dublin. Service was really slow on Saturday lunch. We waited 45 minutes between ordering and our first dish. But I cannot fault the food, it was so good!

Great experience! Went for our anniversary dinner and from the friendly and attentive service to the delicious dishes everything was amazing! I also love that they remove the fat from the duck! They even surprised us with a little anniversary dessert Will definitely come back!

Jellyfish Okra was the highlight — everything else, unfortunately, was disappointing.

We had high hopes for this restaurant, having travelled over an hour by train specifically for the Peking Duck experience. Sadly, the experience fell far below expectations.

The only dish I genuinely enjoyed was the Jellyfish Okra — fresh and nicely prepared.

However:
– We had a 6 PM reservation but due to an alarm issue at the restaurant, nobody handled customers waiting outside or gave any updates. We felt unwelcome right from the start, and were greeted rather rudely in Mandarin when we finally got in.
– Even though we said we didn’t want to look at the menu while waiting (since we had already pre-ordered the duck), the server insisted and handed it to us anyway, making us feel rushed to order more.
– The Peking Duck itself was just… okay. Certainly not on par with authentic Beijing or Guangzhou versions I’ve had before. The accompanying soup was completely bland.
– The “duck cutting show” was poorly executed — the server gave an explanation, but we couldn’t understand or learn anything from it.
– Dumpling platter came with no explanation of what each dumpling was — we had to ask ourselves. And again, everything was served hastily, without the care or detail one expects from a supposedly high-end restaurant.
– The Century Egg & Tofu dish was initially way too salty (just soy sauce). They redid it, but the improved version was still nothing memorable.

On top of that, the atmosphere was uncomfortable — the red lighting was harsh and left me feeling dizzy even after I left.

Overall, the service felt indifferent, rushed, and even suppressive at times. For a restaurant marketing itself as a premium experience, this was hugely disappointing — not worth the time, money, or effort.

SERVICE was SUPPRESSION and DEFINITELY WONT BE BACK !!!
