Bellbird is the best!! This bakery is truly a gem and everything they make is delicious. We have been going at least once a week since they opened and I always look forward to seeing what new items are in rotation. Our favorites are the croissants, scones, cookies and breakfast sandwich 🙂 But truly everything we’ve had has been incredible. Added bonus is how kind and helpful all of the staff are! We tell everyone we know that they need to check out Bellbird if they’re in the LaGrange area!

The place is super busy. Walked in around 8:15 and the line was crazy—but they move pretty fast. This is my second time at this bakery, and both times it’s been insanely busy, which only tells me one thing: amazing coffee and baked goods. They’ve got everything from savory to sweet, and it’s all worth the wait.

Only reason they get 4 stars for atmosphere and service is that they’re often so full (weekends) with eager customers that the line reaches the door and the small space gets very crowded. (They just made new hires that handle the lines, so they move pretty quick.)

Love everything here, the best pastries I’ve had in all of Chicagoland. My top favourites are the scones, kougin amann and the croissants. A must visit bakeshop!! Also worth mentioning the people who work here are the sweetest!

Wow! Everything I’ve had here is amazing! The pastries are top notch & so well executed. The vintage vanilla cake was moist & not too sweet. The lemon poppy seed cake was yummy. I enjoyed the salted chocolate chip cookie as well. The banana pudding was super creamy & delish. My absolute favorite pastry was the pain suisse which melts in your mouth & has this nice crisp to it. It was divine! So happy this amazing bakery is in my area!

I was very skeptical about this place because I don’t like this type of pastries …. Then I saw an elote danish I was like no way this is an abomination…. I was wrong all the way the fusion and the quality of their ingredients it’s superb.

I stumbled upon this NEW gem of a French bakery in La Grange, and it instantly transported me to boulangeries in Paris and acclaimed New York and San Francisco bakeries. You are welcomed with smiling faces and the scent of freshly baked croissants, country loaves, distant spices, and Metric coffee.
The atmosphere is beautiful and charming, the decor felt well-designed and premium yet warm and welcoming. I tried five different items and they were all extraordinary. Notable: Their almond croissant with amaretto and orange zest (wow!), their canelés were hands down the best I’ve ever had, and their flagship ham & cheese croissant! Not only was the ham & cheese croissant perfectly laminated with flaky, buttery layers, it was filled with remarkably high-quality jambon (ham) and whole grain mustard then topped with a tiny cornichon pickle. It was unique and completely delicious, reminiscent of authentic French charcuterie in a hand-held format.
The staff is friendly and passionate, and sincerely grateful for your business. Whether you’re craving a savory danish (the mushroom, potato & goat cheese danish is fantastic!) or a delicate macaron, everything is made by tremendously talented pastry chefs. This level of skill in Chicagoland suburbs is rare and one-of-a-kind; it truly is a gift to have Bellbird in La Grange. Cute bakery. However, I bought a loaf of country sourdough bread to bring home and when I got here, none of my family would eat it because it is burnt on top. Going to pay $10 for a loaf of bread that nobody will eat. I won’t be back.
