Charming Neighborhood Spot with Great Vibes and Flavor
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 out of 5)

We absolutely loved this hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood. From the unique decor to the cozy atmosphere and carefully curated music, it was a memorable experience from the moment we walked in.

Parking is a bit tricky—you’ll likely need to park along the street—but once you’re inside, that small inconvenience is quickly forgotten. Service was fantastic, and everyone we encountered was friendly and accommodating.

We ordered the Margherita pizza, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. They had great drink specials, and the seasoned olives were a flavorful starter—just keep in mind they do contain pits. The cheese board was generous and well-balanced; we asked for a few extra crackers, and the staff provided them without hesitation.

One of the highlights is the interior layout—it’s full of unique seating options, including a private room with its own bar that can be rented out for events. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect during cooler weather. Make reservations!

Final thoughts: Whether you’re looking for a romantic date night, a casual evening with friends, or a cozy solo outing, this place checks all the boxes. We had a wonderful time, and I would absolutely return.

This place is very nice, intimate setting. The lights are dimmed inside which set a very chill mood. I like the drinks here they are made very well. I recommend the key lime martini and the Sunshine in Oaxaca drink. The food has been delicious and dessert is great! Sunday nights they have salsa dance classes… the only reason I’m giving a four is that parking is limited. Other than that I definitely recommend this place.

I go here for the salsa classes on sundays. I even went for a special Valentine’s Day salsa event. They had a prefix menu. And it was delicious. The atmosphere is great. The truffle popcorn is phenomenal. The spinach and artichoke dip is a must-have. I hear that the pizza is really good, a lot of people in the class is order them. I’ve also had the samosas! The chicken and the veggie are my favorite! Give them a try.

I first came here after recommendations from a friend, and because we share a name, i obviously had to give it a try. I have been on many different occasions, all of which have been above and beyond. The happy hour cant be beat, and has turned into my Friday night study spot. The food is always delicious, service is always welcoming and friendly, as well as amazing drinks.

After reading some of the reviews and responses from the management, it only made me fall in love more because who doesn’t love management who actually speaks the truth and stick up for their team when it’s deserved!

All that to say, I love everything about Simone on Sunset and wanted to share my own positive experience

I booked reservations for the speakeasy and was put in a regular table. Not to mention the server never checked on us and we constantly had to go to the bar to ask for help and on top we had a 20% gratuity.. they didn’t even bother putting our food away neither recommended anything and the manager just kept talking to the person next to us the whole time and never checked on us or even anyone else around. Disappointed as it was our first time and our anniversary(which by the way was never acknowledged) will definitely not recommend. I would say, their truffle fries were great.

I’ve been here to eat, and it’s a solid spot. The place has lots of comfy seating and a nice-sized bar with tasty food. The service is friendly, and the ambiance has low light, which is great. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Valet is available, though street parking isn’t difficult if you prefer that. It’s a genuinely good location for a date if you want to chat without a lot of noise.
Recently, they started having salsa dancing on Sunday afternoons, which I think runs from 6 to 11. It’s held in a room separate from the main dining areas. The dancing crowd is varied and friendly, making it a welcoming scene.

Stopped in for a quick drink and loved the cozy vibe. The Black Walnut Old Fashioned was fantastic—smooth with rich black walnut liqueur and a smoky touch. Enjoyed some popcorn while chatting the night away. Perfect spot for a relaxed atmosphere, especially around 6 PM. Definitely worth visiting for a laid-back evening.

What a fantastic spot in the middle of Rice village!! They have both indoor and outdoor seating available (outdoor have heaters! ) and inside you can find high top, bar and traditional seating. Since technically they are a wine bar, you can still find many other drink choices (their Rhubarb mule and cucumber martini is absolutely delicious). The service is outstanding with everyone warm, courteous and friendly! Our server was Jesse (sorry if I misspelled the name) and he was Amazing. His attention to detail was always on point! The food came out fast, warm and delicious with portions big enough to share. Best of all they have complimentary valet parking. We’ll be back!

Wonderful spot, lovely secret gem that supports local dance communities. Dance nights here are an absolute delight, Monday night presents a fantastic opportunity to learn Swing Dancing (lindy hop/charleston).

Take a gander behind the bookcase, and shazam, you have a secret dance floor and community ready to assist, with the aesthetic and feel of a speakeasy situation!

Grab a drink, perhaps some pizza, and learn a new way to connect with people!

Our experience is poor. The service was subpar. I asked the waitress and the bartender to turn down the music, which was not done, even though there were only five people on the patio, and none of us were listening to music. I was served a drink that was half volume and asked for it to be corrected the; however, I was charged for two drinks. This was reflected in their tip. The edamame was OK. The drinks were average. The bathrooms were not clean, and considering the location and overall atmosphere, you think you would get better service but no —the server was easily confused and the bartender equally so. Our server disappeared at the time we asked for the check. This place was empty when we arrived, and when we left, we went to another restaurant down the street which was packed. The sarcastic comments left in responses to negative reviews from myself and others are indicative of why this restaurant sits empty. Apparently this is also the reason it will eventually close to little notice.
