Very friendly service! 6-star service. Appetizer platter made and served to perfection. The buffet was well stocked and labeled. Many sauces to choose from. They didn’t have a menu at the table but we found one online. Music inside was appropriate volume and was Christmas theme given it’s December. The bottle of sweet chili sauce at our table had not been cleaned or wiped off which is my only criticism.

A Great place, with Great Food, and Service. The Ethan Manager informed us the crab Rangoon was made fresh in house by hand. And not frozen which explained why they were So on point! He also explainef the app and rewards points, which is a nice reminder to more frequently visit. Hot, Fresh and cooked right in front you,, 10 out of 10 in Lawrence KS!

Always good service, friendly people, chefs are diligent about cookin your food right, and place is always clean.

I had such a great experience thanks to the young waiter who served us. He was incredibly attentive, passionate about his work, and made the whole visit feel smooth and welcoming. He checked on us at just the right times and really cared about making sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to see someone that dedicated—truly made the experience better.

After several visits I have found the food to be good/average and the table service consistently poor. Delivery of ordered drinks was very slow. I had to ask/remind our server we needed drinks after sitting down with our food. There was zero follow up or check in for refills. I had to track down the server to obtain our bill. After experiencing difficulties with their POS system, we were left waiting with no communication of what was causing the delay. Our server abandoned her station and another staff member was forced to take over. They repeatedly apologized for the delay but it was too little too late at that point. Overall multiple poor customer experiences have motivated me to find other options in the future.

This was my return to a HuHot restaurant after a decade or so, mainly as a throwback.
This particular location in Lawrence is well placed, right on one of the main streets.
A single server seemed handle everything from greeting, assigning tables and running orders. Though she did the best she can, I wish there were a few more to help her as I saw customers trying to flag her down.
The food was fine. If you are new to HuHot s, the DIY selection of food bowls will be a novelty. I noticed that some of the pricier items like shrimp were missing, with a printed note stating that it maybe due to supply or labor shortages.
The only chef also did a decent job of handling long lines, though cross mixing maybe a possible issue especially if you are allergic. Overall, I enjoyed the experience mainly since it was a nostalgia trip for me.

Food was great. The service was also top-notch and if I’m remembering his name correctly, Aly did an outstanding job. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for a weekend visit. Highly recommend!

Great and fun place to eat! You get to choose all your food from the raw foods buffet, choose your seasoning sauces, and watch them cook it right in front of you. Food was fresh and cold. Buffet was Clean and well stocked. Servers were friendly and professional. I joined the rewards club and got $5.00 off my meal.

Well, bff suggested this place and I agreed. First, bff gave me the wrong directions but after she said “wrong directions” all was good! So I arrive and walk in. The place is kind of dark and I’m not sure what these murals are about (please clue me in and see photo). The server/host points you to a table and off you go! We’re there for the lunch buffet. Your server will bring you a drink and explain how to fetch your own lunch. Arrive at the buffet and man, it’s intimidating. Loads and loads of options (and quite frankly I’m not a fan of buffets because I’m a germaphobic) but I move on with a grimace. Mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, chicken, pork, Asian meatballs, spinach, zucchini, Tomatoes, lots of noodle choices too. Too many to mention but all the choices were fresh and I saw they were replenished with an employee who had gloves (yay). I load my bowl and set it on the Circular grill. Chef picks it up and tosses it on with a sizzle. Seriously, this guy moves so many dishes around on the wheel it’s amazing! When yours is done, it’s plated and off you go! There are many, many sauces to choose from. I chose a “burn the village” which apparently would make me want a fire extinguisher. I’m a hot-n-heimer so bring on the burn. It was fantastic. The buffet has a detailed menu as well as a helpful list of what sauces are mild to hot. Service is attentive so please, while it’s buffet, tip well. Bathroom was a bit grotty. I’ll definitely revisit!

First time visit. Get seated and order drinks, then grab a bowl and fill with ingredients you chose. You can use two bowls and go through several times if you are really hungry. Give bowls to cook on hot grill.
