Ordered a 3-way. It was mostly noodles and cheese. Had to ask for extra chili, which they gave no problem, but for being a “chili” establishment I was expecting to “see” and taste chili. Also tried a coney. Again, it was mostly cheese and very dry. Im not mad about the mound of cheese on either dish, but the lack of chili. Service was mediocre. It was clean and workers were cleaning upon arrival. Not that impressed overall with food though.

We told our server Nikole that we were from out of town and had never eaten here. She then walked us through the menu and explained everything! She was the only server in a busy resturant and we really appreciated it. Excellent customer service and great food!

Walked in around 8pm and was met with a happy, smiling female employee who helped me by explaining the difference between two of the menu options I had questions about.
Once I paid, I stepped back and waited.
At that point, a tall, male employee entered the area from the kitchen.
The happy employee informed the taller employee that there was a “carry out” order and I observed his demeanor worsen as he mouthed an expletive that begin with 6th letter of the alphabet and the happy employee informed him that I was standing right there and saw him. I watched him prepare my food order and he brought them to the counter where the happy employee bagged it up. I asked why the tall employee was so angry about learning about my order and she said that they had been really busy or maybe it was something else.
Everything else about my experience was positive. This location was clean, well lit and the other employees seemed happy and were engaged in interacting with the “dine-in” patrons.
It is unfortunate that the attitude and choice of words of a single negative employee, leaves such a bad impression of this location.
I did change my choice to reflect a 4-star rating only because everything else was positive.
Hopefully in the future, the angry employee will have a grateful and more positive attitude or at least act like he is thankful he has a job.

Second time eating here. Second time disappointed. First time, I hated how sweet the chili tasted. This time, this is the tiniest hot dog I have ever had in my life . Also the texture is weird. Fries were really cold. Workers are friendly. Just wasn’t worth the 30 bucks spent on these sorry portion sizes.

Shout out to Lauren for introducing an out-of-towner like me to Skyline with welcoming service! I was greeted quickly and kindly at the drive-through speaker, and when I pulled up to the window, it seemed like the staff were all having a pleasant time, smiles all around. Definitely a good sign in my book! The chili was delightfully flavorful (sweeter than I anticipated, but delicious), the Coney buns were soft, the cheese was melty and PLENTIFUL. They certainly didn’t skimp on the shredded cheddar, haha. The oyster crackers also make for a convenient snack if not used on the chili itself. Glad I took the time to swing by before leaving Ohio!

I heard of Skyline Chili years ago, driving through Ohio, and we decided to make sure we stopped. The restaurant was busy, but unfortunately, this location lost it lease and will be closing soon. I was surprised to find this was a sit-down restaurant. Our server, Clara, was awesome. We let her know we were from out of state and have never been to Skyline before she gave us a “new customer packet” for each of us. I had chili with cheese, onions, and cheese. My husband went with the standard 3-way (cheese, chili, and spaghetti). We liked it enough to get two large containers to go. Clara said their hot sauce was pretty hot, and she was right.

I don’t normally review chain restaurants, but I like Skyline Chili for their burritos (who knew?); but this location is definitely one to avoid. When you walk in, the smell of stale oil and grease permeate the interior of this place. This cannot be a corporate owned location, because corporate would never stand for such a dirty, dated, worn decor. The food was good, but cold, and it was difficult to push the food in past the odor.

I’m not going to bash Skyline Chili, but it was highly recommended by my northern friends lol. I’m just from Louisiana and to me chili has way more flavor and seasoning. Gabby was our server and she was very nice and attentive.
