Alex and Kevin are the best chefs in Kansas better than Texas BBQ (take it from a Texan). We were lucky enough to catch the Pastrami. Brisket was to die for, it absolutely melts in your mouth. They are super talented. They were all so warm and welcoming. Kris was a superstar and her recommendation for the apple pie was perfection. We’ll definitely be back! We are sure to be regulars, we found home!

What a fantastic BBQ! We had the YETI It was fabulous I will go on record to say it’s the best I’ve ever had! Super moist all the meats – sides were delicious- we got in line at 1030 and at 11 when they opened the place was hoping! Absolutely phenomenal staff, food and the place is a treasure trove of history and wacky.
The staff were friendly and people driven, with their interactions being entirely wholesome that builf community within just a few minutes.
The food portions are really nice and between that and the flavor it is something I could easily eat for days and not get bored.

We have always wanted to try S8 but the limited hours of operation and their location never allowed the stars to cross. Today was the day. We happened to be near the location and an appointment was pushed to 1 pm and we had time to kill. It was 11:30. When we arrived I was shocked to find a parking spot very close. We got into the line, honestly we were out the door but only took us about twenty minutes to get to order. Everyone in line was super chill, they knew what was coming. We had heard how good it was. We had heard that it is an out of body experience. We were shocked that they are only open 4 days a week from 11 am to 2 pm.
Once we got our first bite, nothing else seemed to matter. We would have waited two hours. The sauce is some of the best barbeque sauce I’ve ever tasted. The brisket was divine. The hot link was fire. The burnt ends rivaled anything I’ve ever gotten in Kansas City, I mean it’s molasses glazed pork belly. These bros do barbeque justice. The baked beans were off the chart. I tried some of the Corn bread and jalapenos, incredible. We will definitely be back.
I need to add that the staff are super wonderful. Very accommodating and friendly. We had at least 4 different people greet us and talk to us. Spending time with your customers makes us feel welcome and wanting to come back. The musician at the front playing the guitar and harmonica was a really nice touch. Can’t say enough about the visit.

I had the honor of having an amazing bundle of absolute amazing BBQ dropped off at my door today. It was a return act of kindness. And I want to say thank you to the owner,a very kind person how was happy to help on a cold day and again today. Thank you so very much. When you run a business with this kind of thoughtfulness of course you’re going to have AMAZING food. Y’all it’s awesome,you have to get some of this. It’s going to have your belly happy .

First time I went here for my birthday with my work colleagues and was intrigued by the cool atmosphere. When it came to the food the meat was very tender and delicious and the sides were A+. I also loved the nostalgic dr pepper bottle. Definitely would come back again.

This establisment is always busy and most certainly worth the wait. There is memorabilia from the floor to the ceiling. Love the vibe! The food was tasty with decent porportions. They had live music when we went. The food is precooked ahead of time and served by pretty entertaining people. I would go back next time we are in town.

Yesterday, I heard the voice of angels… and it was coming straight from Station 8 BBQ in Wichita, Kansas, my heaven on Earth.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was about to experience something special. My taste buds didn’t just wake up — they rejoiced! This wasn’t just a meal; it was a full-blown experience wrapped in smoke and perfection.

Let’s talk about the legends first. Their smoked sausage gravy and biscuits, and Texas Twinkies have wowed me before, and I’m here to testify: they absolutely did not let me down this time. The biscuits and gravy were flawless — perfectly tender biscuits smothered in rich, savory smoked sausage gravy that tasted like it was crafted with love and a little bit of magic. Every bite was comfort food at its highest level.

And the Texas Twinkies – Amazingly indescribable. Smoky, cheesy, savory masterpieces with just the right kick — the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate what’s happening.

But now… the revelation.

The new pork belly cinnamon rolls with frosting.

Let me just say this: talk about melting in your mouth. Sweet, smoky pork belly wrapped in a delicious blend of warm cinnamon and brown sugar. Slowly melted into a sweet and rich caramel-like sweetness and topped with luscious frosting. It was the kind of creation that makes you question why all cinnamon rolls aren’t made this way. The balance of savory and sweet was nothing short of genius.

I can’t say enough about Station 8 and the staff that makes you feel like home. The food is 2nd to none, the portions are perfect and the hospitality is pure warmth. Plenty to choose from on the daily menu and yet not complicated at all. Thank you for making this Texas boy feel like he’s back in the Lone Star State!

This was the best barbecue I’ve ever had. The burnt ends and bologna were my favorite but really everything is amazing. Yes the food can be a bit steep in price but it’s soooo worth it with the quality and amount you get. I feel like I could taste the love in every bite. Every staff member was phenomenal and so sweet. So worth the wait and will definitely be back ASAP. My husband and I want to make it a weekly trip.
