The food at Mika Sushi was fresh and delicious. I had the chirashi bowl, which came with a colorful variety of sashimi over rice — everything tasted great and was well-prepared. The soft shell crab was crispy and flavorful, served with a creamy dressing on top of fresh greens.
The atmosphere was dark and a bit gloomy, which made the place feel less welcoming. Service was okay — not bad, but nothing special. Overall, the food made up for it, and I’d come back for the chirashi.

Came with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday. Atmosphere wise I didn’t care for it and I think that they can do a few things to make this a more inviting place. Staff was attentive and helpful and even things she didn’t know she offered to find out for us. The food was really good, sushi was fresh and their portions were satisfying but not big.

We’ve been customers for 15+ years and eat at Mika Sushi at least once a month. After today’s extremely poor service we will no longer be going there due to an extremely disrespectful server. Multiple times the server purposely ignored me would serve and check on the other tables and would not attend to me. Even after I grabbed the server’s attention, made direct eye contact and motioned that we needed service, the server would not come to our table and instead went up to all the other tables, asked them how they were doing, attended to them and purposely ignored me. Multiple times my husband had to get up from the table, walk up to the server and sushi bar to request attention and service. The server failed to bring me a water after multiple requests for it. My husband had to go up to the server and tell the server again that I did not receive a water. The server gave the excuse that it was about to happen. The server at that time had multiple waters on a tray ready for another table and had not yet served me a water which later came to me in a small glass in comparison to the waters given to the other table. The server deliberately made me wait a long time to receive a glass of water. Because the server would not attend to our table my husband had to go up to the sushi bar to address an allergen contamination in one of our rolls. The server didn’t even bother to find out what the issue was, but instead brought back an incorrect sushi roll. Instead of waiting for the correct roll (my roll) to be redone, since everyone else was pretty much done with their meal by then, and because I was being deliberately mistreated by the server, we were fed up and left there angered and extremely disappointment. The server never apologized and was deliberate in their action to be disrespectful to us. We won’t return to Mika Sushi until that particular server no longer works there.

Everything was mid. I got the rainbow and Jay roll (shrimp tempura styled roll). The slices were really uneven and fell apart immediately, making a big mess of rice sauce and ingredients. Service was just alright, could have been more attentive. Quality of the ingredients looked…like it could be improved upon. It’s just a very average sushi place, does not match the pricing. They charged me fifty cents for a side of spicy mayo that they never brought.

Atrocious service, among the worst I’ve ever experienced. The server flat-out ignored my wife, severed her last or not at all. I had to continuously get up to get something from the server or sushi bar. The server went at slow speed, with little or no care, and when we expressed our frustrations, the server offered no apologies and seemed unaffected. After several years eating at this restaurant at least once a month, we are now finished.

While visiting Camarillo a week before Mother’s Day, my children took me to Mika Sushi and it was OUTSTANDING! My husband and I consider ourselves to be “Sushisnobs” which means we are very particular about our Sushi and Mika met and exceeded our expectations! The rolls were abundant and fresh and we all enjoyed our experince. Our server, Nathen, did an amazing job of making sure our experience was stellar! We will definatley be visiting Mika again when we travel that way again

Great place! I ordered Yellowtail belly sushi, my Wife ordered Salmon belly sushi, both fresh and delicious. We also split a seaweed salad, Hawaiian roll, salmon tempura roll. Everything was fresh and serving size was on point. Definitely putting this spot on our regular restaurant rotation…

Was very excited to try this place for the first time. I looked at the menu google had provided as there was no link to a website for the menu however it would seem the menu is outdated as prices have certainly gone up. I had gotten the Chef’s Sushi Combo and it looked very good once I got home but there was a black curly hair on one of the pieces of my California roll. I’m sure this wasn’t intentional however it really affected my confidence in the food.
