I sat next to one of the gentleman from Oklahoma City, who is helping open the store. Everything seem to be working like a well oiled machine.

First time here 5:00 Monday evening, no wait, restaurant was extremely clean, cashier extremely friendly, I ordered the chilada and super burrito. The food looked incredible, smelled incredible, everything was extremely fresh, and I feel extremely generous portions compared to other restaurants. The chilada was loaded with meat, beans and covered with cheese as you can tell. The super burrito was massive and a great price for the amount of food that was in it! I opened it as you can tell and everything was very fresh! With that being said I personally thought it was some of the worst food I have ever eaten. That is my personal opinion because nothing was wrong with the food everything was fresh I just found the flavors extremely off-putting. I felt their red sauce and meat both had a strange flavor. Again I am not saying it was spoiled or anything It was just a taste that I personally did not like. The last two photos are of the food I left I tried really hard to even eat that much. I had to come home and brush my teeth I had the worst taste in my mouth. I know this place has a cult following, and I know a lot of people love it, It was just not for me.

Welp the wife and I are at it again!
This time we went to the TACO HOUSE.
Typical, long line outside, so we parked and walked in only took 10 minutes to wait in line, order, and receive our food.
Just a little thought I would share for those that waited in line longer.
Let me share something with everyone,
I’m originally from Los Angeles, and we know the differences between Mexican fast versus authentic restaurants.
This place is doing exactly what that Bell restaurant did back in the 70’s, which made them them iconic in the decades that follows.
This place is the best than any other fast food place out here. Yes a simple menu, for food that tastes exactly like the classic that my wife and I grew up eating.
This is that drive through, eat at the park, drive-in, after hours recovery, having a bad day, after school stop, get a box of tacos shop that We needed out here in BIG-BACK land.
Go with a goal of just having some tacos, tostadas, burritos, and a few other choices.
The salsa is the original bell salsa without all that darn sugar in it.
Finally! Plenty of cheese on what we ordered.
This place should be named the FRESH TACO HOUSE.
We hope you enjoy the food.
We’ll definitely be back.
Yes we took the order to-go and enjoyed it in the car.

Finally made it to Taco Casa for lunch yesterday. Gotta admit… pretty disappointed.

TLDR: fast food level Mexican food, pretty decent service, prices pretty decent.

I rolled through the drive thru right after 11am. I honestly had high hopes based on the rabid fan base I’d seen in other’s comments.

I ordered 2 tacos, a chilada and a chili burger, wanting to try a variety of things.

Food was pretty quick in coming, as one would expect. The dude who brought it out to me was friendly enough, but he carried the sack with everything on end, which wasn’t a big deal for the tacos and burger, but it turned the chilada into a little bit of a hot mess in the container. No real damage done, as the chilada was pretty much a hot mess anyway.

Got back home in a few minutes (less than 5) and unbagged everything. Tacos and burger were in a paper boat with several packets of hot sauce. The chilada was in a covered container, and survived the inconsiderate delivery fairly well.
If it’s a fairly sauced dish, keep it flat. It’s not rocket science. Braum’s is horrible about this with their biscuits and gravy, but I digress…..

The chilada was just okay. Not a lot of flavor, no real zing, nothing that would make me want another one.

The tacos were fairly large, but uninspiring. The meat had little of no seasoning. They were maybe a half notch above Taco Bell at best.

The chili burger was probably the best thing in the order, and I suspect that’s because it was different. Same meat as the taco, it was decent enough once I sauced the dickens out of it. It was also pretty small, so unless you’re a small eater (like a bird), one of them isn’t gonna do it for you.

Overall, the visit fell far, far short of the hype I’d seen. I was genuinely looking forward to Taco Casa opening and now I realize it’s just yet another fast food Mexican place cluttering the Owasso food landscape. To be honest, I’ll probably go back, but only because Taco Bueno sucks like a brand new Dyson and Taco Bell is farther away for me.

Bland. Pricey. Disappointing.

1.) Burrito wasn’t wrapped
2.) Had to assemble nachos.
3.) BLAND AS HELL…
4.) NO COMBOS???
5.) OVER PRICED.

Starting with the burrito, man- mad is an understatement. One end of the burrito wasn’t even wrapped up, and the other end was folded one time.

The nachos were concession stand quality.
I cannot believe people are hyping this place, modern day BOTS. Look at the pictures.

Meat wasn’t flavored- at all…
Cheese is canned, nachos are bagged, Jalapeños are jarred, tortilla wasn’t warmed, man….. PLEASE HEED MY WARNING. ‼️

I wish I could get a refund for the food not eaten as well, because it is just that bad. Customer service is about the only thing going for them, but I can get equal service at Taco Bell… Too many Mexican restaurants here in Owasso for such A LOW BAR! They won’t last long at this rate.

I trued this out the firat day they were open and have been a loyal customer since then. It is a fast food Mexican place, but any other fst food Mexican don’t hold a candle to it. I haven’t had anything there that I don’t love. The Super Tostada is my favorite.

It reminds me of what Taco Bueno used to be in the 2000s. Pretty simple menu the taste is old fashioned. You’ll just have to go by and try it. It’s not something you’re going to eat everyday or maybe you will.

Keep in mind this is a fast food restaurant so adjust your expectations.
The employees are friendly and work quickly. Someone has made good hiring decisions .
The food is basically what Taco Bell used to be when they were good and before they got weird only BETTER. Portion sizes are bigger and Taco Casa does not skimp on cheese.
The dining room is tight for seating. It was clean when my family visited.
Thank you Taco Casa for

Freshness 10/10, portions 10/10, the ingredients they use are absolutely wonderful. The taco shells….absolutely the lightest crispiest taco shells I’ve ever had!! They stack every item with a pile of cheese!!! Exactly how it should be. I can’t think of a single reason to ever eat Bell or Bueno again.
