Looking for a BBQ place in this area. Food was okay but on the expensive side for what you get. Meat didn’t have much flavor and was a tad fatty but it was tender. Sauces were good. Spicy was good for me but not spicy like we are use to. We’ll maybe eat here again but continue our quest for our “favorite” BBQ.

FYI: Due to meat prices being higher they have raised their prices but the menus don’t show it nor do they tell you that the prices are higher then what is on menu. So a bit of a shock when she rang up our order. Paid $30 for 2 brisket sandwich and 2 sodas. No extras, no pickle, no sides.

Great food. Sadly we were the only people dining. The food was great! Granted there was a concert at Ashley Pond. Turkey had a nice smoke flavor yet not dry. The smoked potatoes stuffed with pulled pork was wonderful. The potato was not in your face smokey . The pulled pork on top had a nice in your face smokey flavor. Coleslaw was fresh and crisp.
Out of the way but worth the few extra travel time.

Had a 3 meat plate. Smoked sausage wasn’t bad but tasted exactly like the kielbasa you get from the grocery store just cooked up a little. Brisket was so so. The pork was a little better. No real distinction between the BBQ sauces. Only had 2 bites of the Mac n cheese because it was so watery I couldn’t finish it. Not worth the money at all.

Not bad at all. Love the Carolina style vinegar based BBQ sauce. The pulled pork is on the fatty side. Buns are nothing special, just supermarket product, which is disappointing. Sadly, not really worth the money. Either up your game or lower your prices.

I used to eat here fairly often before 2014. On Friday May 7 I stopped in to get an order to go. 2 meat combo plate, sausage and brisket, with two extra sides. The sausage was way over cooked to the point that each piece was black all the way through. The brisket was basically OK but tasteless. I didn’t check the bag before I left and sure enough they did not include one of the sides. They weren’t busy, one couple eating in and one other person ordering to-go right after me. This place has really gone down hill.

Not sure what has happened to this place lately. It used to be so good. This is the second time I have been let down. Not sure why this was sent out, just look at it.

I Love Barbecue and thought I would try this place. I was disappointed. Food quality and taste was just average – really nothing special with the barbecue, sauce, or sides (beans and potato salad). Portions were really small for the price. I really wanted to find a good BBQ place to eat regularly but I guess I’ll just keep looking.

Cannot comment on the atmosphere or service as I tasted the food during a catered event.

The food is par for the course in New Mexico. Bland, flavorless and just lacking in any spices. The meat is cooked decently and some bits of brisket have a nice char, but there is an utter lack of seasoning in any way. I couldn’t even taste any salt or pepper. Very bland.

The food is good but it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. Expect to pay around $15 a plate and by plate, I mean a paper lined basket. They’re not from Texas, I asked. The meats taste like Texas BBQ but the potato salad tastes like it came from a plastic container. If you want BBQ in Los Alamos, this is it.
