My first visit. I had the Crackin’ Special without gravy.
The food was great! Chicken crunchy, tender, and juicy. I like the waffles crunchy not soft like they serve therm, but that’s my preference. They were still good and pretty big. Be prepared to wait a few for the food because it’s coming out hot and fresh.
Service was awesome as well. Genuinely friendly. They greeted me and everyone who walked in. A new employee was being trained, so they apologized in advance for the wait.
The place is clean and spacious, and the music is upbeat.
So many soul food places have come and gone in the AV. This is a welcome addition. Let’s help this one be successful and stay! Good luck CC&W!

Terrible terrible terrible! There were only 2 people ahead of us when we got there and we waited in line for close to 40 min. We went for my son’s 15th bday because he was craving chicken and waffles. One of the people taking the orders kept getting the person in front of us’ order wrong. There was a big line of people that formed behind us and people started complaining about the service being too slow. Then when we finally got up to order it took forever for someone to start taking our order. When I asked for the Crackin Combo deal the guy said all they had were wings and that the menu posted was old and some of those items were no longer relevant. We just left. Huge waste of our day.

Food is good portioned for the price and tastes like its supposed to. Took 30 min to get the food from the drivethru. Was nice and hot.

10/8/21 710p, I ordered the crackin special which has 2 waffles and 1/4 chicken. You sent me 1 waffle, and now you won’t answer your phone…yeah right!! That’s what I get for ordering online…so I called again 810p, Susan answered and heard my explanation and put the phone down, and I waited 10 min and 43, then they hung up. I called again, 827p, Susan answered again, I asked for the manager, she said she was the manager. Explained that I ordered at 708p thru Doordash, and when he delivered, my order was incomplete. She told me I had to call Doordash, I asked why call doordash if my food came from crackin, she repeated “you have to call doordash,” said thank you and hung up the phone. This review is why it’s very difficult to support black owned businesses. I hope their lights stay on with my $4.50 for a waffle and no responsibility for their error.

Went there today and order fried chicken, collard greens, and this “SO CALLED MASH POTATOES!!!
Even better, they forgot the mash potatoes; I noticed when I went home…. Then I called and the number and it wasn’t reachable at all. Drove back from home to the restaurant and I really don’t know what they think mash potatoes suppose to be ….. It was chopped up, burnt with some onion’s. Straight Goulash!
Chicken was not fully cooked; they need to learn what crispy chicken is. Collard greens was peppery and had too much pork in it.
Don’t waste your time….unless you’re really craving waffles….

I’ll put this simply, great food but horrible, horrible service. There’s no order amongst the staff. They’re wait times go over, they take guest orders at random so forget where you are in line. And there’s no priority order. I was told my meal was still being made after it was set for pick up and still had to wait another hour while other patrons would get their orders and leave resulting in having no sides/meals for those already placed. While being serviced the phone rang and the employee put me on hold to talk on the phone. The person there should have priority over a phone call. While I don’t mind sitting and inspecting I wasn’t the only one who noticed how service was and was discussed among others. It’s unfortunate that a establishment that has the potential to do well just their service needs work

Staff wasn’t friendly. The cashier didn’t acknowledge us when we walked in. We waited for 30 minutes for our food. We ordered to go and had to wait to get home to taste the food. I was so hoping the food was worth the waiting, well, big disappointment. I ordered the rice and beans meal. the rice was clumpy and the consistency was like a paste, you could barely distinguish the rice grains, and no flavor whatsoever. the chicken breast was overcooked, parts of the skin were burnt. At least my husband’s sandwich and French fries were ok. We won’t be going back and I wouldn’t recommend this place. The price was too high for the quality of food and service.

The food was great except I wasn’t too fond of the waffels. I also wanted Mac and Cheese, but was told they ran out, so I ordered their yams. The chicken was seasoned well and juicy, the collard greens were so good as well as their drinks. Great portion sizes. The restaurant was very clean and the two people that was working at the time of my visit was very friendly and helpful with explaining their menu and answering any questions me and my children had. I will definitely be visiting again.

My husband and I went for dinner one evening. We were impressed. I ordered 3 wings and a waffle and my husband had the 1/4 chicken and a waffle. The chicken wasn’t dry and was seasoned perfectly and were nice size pieces. The waffle even had a great flavor. We had lemonade served in Mason jars that was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. We enjoyed our experience and will definitely go back!
