The food is good but not great. The sweet crepes were really good. The savory items were just okay.
We got the steak and chimmichuri panini, Nutella and strawberry crepe, Nutella and banana crepe and butternut squash crepe. The crepes are big and for the sweet crepes they have a generous amount of Nutella and fruit. Unfortunately, the banana crepe came with banana and strawberries. The steak sandwich was very mild flavor and the chimmichuri sauce was a bit too oily. The butternut squash was good but light on the feta and balsamic.

We were in Guilford for a few days visiting old friends. We spent a lot of time walking around the town green and visiting all the shops and eating places. One day we visited this place built inside an old Quonset hut next to the community center and very close to the green
We had a coffee and pastry and found a place to sit inside. It was very crowded today and the outside seating was too hot. Nice youngish crowd all having a good time. Fun place to hangout.

Came here for lunch to take advantage of the outdoor seating since we have our dog with us. The building is right next to the Gilford Recreation Center. There are seating inside, upstairs and at the outdoor patio. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They came over and said hi to our dog.
I ordered the chicken and artichoke crepe and my wife ordered the grain bowl. The crepe was chewy. I think the dough was over stirred and also lacking texture, perhaps some crunchy elements and acid will make it taste better. My wife’s quinoa salad was good but it’s a bit pricey $17 for a bowl of vegetables.

Stumbled into what appears to be a repurposed WWII bunker that someone filled with good coffee and better vibes. The corrugated steel arch ceiling either gives you “cool industrial cafe” or “I’m sheltering from a blitz” energy depending on your mood, but either way the lattes are worth it. Mezzanine seating upstairs if you want to people-watch like a Roman emperor surveying the espresso-ordering masses below.
Menu has strong opinions about gluten and inflammation, but don’t let that scare you off as that food is genuinely good and the prices won’t make you question your life choices. Friendly staff, lots of families, acoustics of a basketball gymnasium. Bring your inside voice or just abandon that concept entirely.
Guilford’s best kept architectural secret moonlighting as cafe. Five stars.

This was an average culinary experience for us… party of 3 that ordered a tea, three egg omelette with spinach, pepper and mushroom , a classic crepe and a chicken and avocado panini. The omelette was okay but nothing that screamed it was worth $17.50, the crepe itself had minimal taste but the add-ins were plentiful and the panini was dry, had too little avocado and was served with nothing on the side for $17.95. The bill for the lunch was $53 without tip… and the price didn’t seem to justify the culinary experience.a one and done for us.

9.14.24 my 1st time here and to be honest I was only going to use their bathroom, which by the way was so cool that I took a photo of it. But then I realized this place is just amazing inside and when you walk in, the smells make you think you’re in some European Cafe. The food, the vibe, the energy is all very good. I ordered the raspberry, chocolate scone and it was the best I’ve ever had. The raspberries were fresh, the scone was flaky but not too flaky if you know what I mean, and it wasn’t too sweet. I enjoyed it so much that I’d drive there again just to get more (and I live an hour away). If you’re in this area, I strongly recommend you try this place. They also have indoor/outdoor dining and there’s lots of extra parking next door by the community center.

Best cold brew in Guilford. We had a mix of salads, savory crepes, and a breakfast sandwich. Items are on the expensive side, but it’s absolutely reflected in the quality and large portion of the food received. Great outdoor patio when the weather is nice.

I really loved this place but every time we go, they always forget our order ( 2 coffees) and today we were ignored multiple times even after making constant eye contact. It was not busy as usual and about 5 people got their drink before us and when trying to ask if so and so order was done they were very snappy and quick to say it’s there but it wasn’t our order. They have good pastries and good cold brew but the customer service and people behind the register are all over the place and I feel like it just needs more structure. The offer for a free pastry is a nice gesture but after it happening so often, it just doesn’t make up for it.

I’ve been there multiple times. I think they do pastries pretty well. The coffee really depends who is there. Not all are baristas.
As for the crepes: well for the price sorry but they weren’t good. It felt like they were undercook. When I asked, the person said that it was cooked as usual. She did ask if I wanted to have another one, which is nice. I just think that for $16.5 it was mediocre. I was disappointed.

I love this place and couldn’t recommend enough! We’ve lived in Guilford for about a decade and the ownership has changed thrice, (from Perk on Church, to Java Hut, to Belle Vie), and I have to say Belle Vie hit a home run. Though I wish they still had “Porky’s Revenge” (a delicious breakfast burrito with sausage, bacon, eggs, and cheese), Belle Vie Cafe has added some truly yummy pastries – all made in house. The staff and atmosphere are great and it’s in a cool Quonset hut. It’s my favorite restaurant in the area. You should definitely check it out!
