Food needs improvement. The portions are small for the price except for the egg drop soup. The food was for takeout and they gave us spring rolls instead of egg rolls. It honestly tastes like those frozen box Chinese meals from the store . For $70 it really should have been better food. Hardly any seasoning. Tasted like reheated mush.

Headed over on a Thursday so not too busy. Waited 15 min after ordering and saw 4 orders walk out the door. Not too bad! My dad ordered Sweet and Sour Pork from the combo menu while I had a large Hot and Sour Soup and Kung Pao Three Tastes. My dad said it was some of the best he has had in awhile and I agree with that statement. Being located in a gas station means its all takeout.

The people are super nice so I feel bad for leaving a low review. But the food is just awful. There’s no other way to put it. I ordered over $50 of food, and after just tasting each dish, threw it all away. I think the cream cheese was sour, and everything else was stale or burnt. Even. The fortune cookies were stale.

New Chinese Express is good! Friendly and quick service, great portion sizes (the almond chicken could stuff two people!), and tastes great and fresh. I’m so glad to have a place like this just down the road. We’ll definitely be making this a regular stop in our restaurant rotation! (Note: it is in the Chevron Station, so take out only)
