This was a great stop in an adorable town! The staff was excellent and was laughing and joking around with us. Very welcoming and pleasant! The food was delicious and quick! Stopped in for breakfast, the hashbrowns were made fresh to order and the bacon was hearty! The atmosphere was as small town America as you can get but 100% with some humor! The bathrooms were clean and easily accessible although may be tight for any larger mobility devices, still very manageable. As a bonus they had an adorable fresh flower stand out front.

After a week of riding motorcycles in the black hills and eating ridiculously over priced and over cooked food, we finally hit the jackpot in Ekalaka, MT!!
Walked into the Wagon Wheel Cafe and were quickly greeted by a nice young lady. We ordered 2 drinks, the mottz sticks, some ranch, a double Eckalaka’s Favorite Cowboy Burger and waffle fries to split. Ranch was awesome with the mottz sticks and came in a great squeeze bottle, taste was like home made!
Now the star of the show and our week long culinary adventure was absolutely, 100% the mountain of a burger! We are talking a TOWER, built with 2 perfectly cooked patties, thick bacon, jalapenos, onion rings, 3 slices of Swiss, topped with home made BBQ and a chipotle sauce.
Will absolutely be back, it’s about a 2 hour ride from home and can see us jumping on the bike and heading there for lunch.
A killer bonus is a must see place, Medicine Rocks State Park, is just a few miles down the road. “As fantastically beautiful a place as I have ever seen,” said one of its first tourists in the late 1800s, a young rancher named Teddy Roosevelt. Medicine Rocks State Park is a treasure—full of history, culture and unique topography—and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Five stars all around!!

We stopped by this town on a roadtrip and found this place with good reviews, wanted to give it a try. The town is quiet and not many options. But this place is pretty decent, self service that you order from the cashier then seat yourself.
I tried their burgers with sweet potato fries. Its delicious with onion ring in the middle, the size isn’t big but the beef taste fresh. Fries are hot and crispy.

Cool cafe. Great small town charm. The food was good, eggs with hash browns and bacon. The server was very nice.

I’ve been diner hopping throughout the U.S… this was probably the worst. Never greeted when I️ entered. Seated myself. Asked for sugar and milk for coffee- waited and got up and retrieved myself. Served me burnt sausage, burnt egg and old cheese, and I️m not even sure what was in that pancake. I️ never leave a review. But this place needs help. I️ didn’t eat. Left cash and got out of there.

Great place. Super nice people. My husband had the double cowboy burger and said it was the best he’d had in a long time. They have a small salad bar and fried cauliflower for those that don’t eat meat!

This is a prime example of a quintessentially perfect “western diner”. I’ve a hard time seeing somewhere this inland as geographically west, but “West” is an attitude more than anything.
Neat, without trying too hard.
Clean, without being clinical.
Western Themed, without being a cliché.
Dated, without being tired.
Food is exquisite. Wanted Biscuits and Gravy, which were not clearly listed on the menu, was told “no problem, be 10 minutes~”. And was.
Fluffy. Amazing gravy. Links were on point.
Hashbrowns were superb enough, to make an Idahoan proud.
Have come here repeatedly, and will again.
Keep being awesome.
