Take out only. I drove from Kansas City and wanted to eat in, they said it wasn’t possible. So I ate in my car watching others eat inside. Ate the other half at home. We have different foods on our menu. I love variety.

I ordered take out and once I got here it seems like eating in might not be an option. That being said, the food was amazing! I’m from NY originally and have lived in VT the last 8 years. I’ve been very disappointed in Vermont’s Chinese cuisine options but I am so glad I found the Magic Wok! I work in the middlebury area now and will be visiting here frequently. Everything I ordered was the best I’ve had in a very long time!

Let me start by saying, if you’re looking for somewhere to go out and eat Chinese, I don’t recommend. They are two VERY hard working parents and the restaurant currently accommodates their children while they work, as of this review.
Now with literally everything else.
They are extremely polite people, and coming from NY. I have not found a decent Chinese take out spot that was
Semi close to my house in Brandon since moving here almost four years ago.
The food is off the chain, and the prices are incomparable to other places in the area, quality and all. The portion sizes are huge too. Every person in my family loved our meals and had a lot left over for lunch the next day.
We will definitely be frequenting this place for out takeout nights at home.
Thank you! And I appreciate the hustle of trying to run a business and raise a family! (My son had eaten well over half of what was in the white to go container before I took it) fyi lol

Food was solid. Service was friendly and fast. Takeout only. Inside is a little rough.

Middlebury’s best option for Chinese food as far as I’m concerned. Nobody’s reinventing the wheel here, and I wish the spicy items were actually as spicy as claimed, but it’s always my trusted go-to. DC 1, General Tso’s Chicken Dinner Combo, is my standard order. It comes with pork fried rice (white rice optional), a spring role and two crab rangoons for less than $8. You can’t go wrong. Portions are huge. I usually get two meals from one order. I’ve never actually eaten there, I always get it to go. Decor is sparse and it seems a little lonely but you can’t knock the food. Give it a try.

The fried dumplings must be premade and very cheap. $8 for gummy tasteless food I’ve ever had.

Really wish you could give it no stars. Food isn’t anything i’d eat again. Only went there because Rice was closed and the women on the phone was extremely “busy” as it seemed and barley had time to take my order, after getting there my order wasn’t ready yet which was fine, but before just letting me purchase my order she took 4 phone calls and didn’t pay any attention to my being there. While she was on the phone a boy came over and wrapped his arms around me. Nobody noticed for a minute and I was so shocked to speak. The lady answering the phones looked over and signed him to get off, he let go but stood less than 5 inches from me. Just standing there it was a weird situation. Looking in the kitchen was a mistake. Made me not even want to eat the food that was coming out of it. I tried to keep the best outlook because this place used to be good but after walking in to a child’s playroom that’s overtaken what used to be a nice restaurant, dealing with an unpleasant worker and having their child not understand personal boundaries was enough. Another women came out of the kitchen gave me my bag and nothing else was said. Wouldn’t recommend this place to ANYONE. I understand having no childcare but turning the restaurant into his/ their room and not watching him while customers are trying to get their is a bit much. Food is gross, customer service is terrible, environment is very concerning and overall just not a good experience. Brandon has a good Chinese restaurant and so does Fair Haven if you need other places with good prices.

Great food. The woman there is very very rude. I have been going there since they opened very consistently and she is very short and rude. She became disrespectful at one point and I stopped going for almost 5 years. Since going back I have received same results. They closed their seating and turned it into a play room for their kids. Very unprofessional.
