OMG. Gluten free fried chicken.
Right above Daiso sits this tiny restaurant. All but one offering is gluten free. Don’t be put off by this label. The chicken is freshly fried to order. The crunchy coating has a delectable pepper flavor with a slightly sweet undertone. The chicken is so juicy. So delicious.
So I went back and this time I got the same order. But I got a sample of the sweet and spicy sauce. Oh my goodness that’s so delicious!!! The spicy is not hot but it’s very flavorful and the sweetness is gentle.

When I first eyed this place, I couldn’t get it out of my head. I passed it by but the second time, I finally pulled the trigger and checked it out. I was blown away by how delicious, hot, and fresh this chicken can be.
They’re BIG pieces of chicken thighs, with a crispy light crust. If you get it with sauce, get yuzu aioli. 10/10.
The atmosphere inside too was a vibe. Felt like a little hole in the wall, complete with music records in the back and a functioning CRT TV playing old Japanese movies.
A place like this is a hidden gem. So much love and respect from me.

We found this place by accident and for someone with celiac, fried chicken is usually a distant dream… not here though. Delicious, fair priced, and indeed gluten (and soy) free—I’m sensitive as heck and had zero issues afterwards. The place is small and cozy, the service quick, and the staff were so sweet! We even got a Polaroid pic of us taken as it was Valentine’s Day. We’re 100% gonna be back every time we’re in the area ❤️

The Baseline: For Karaage chicken that must be crispy, meaty, and flavorful, the accompanying items must compliment the chicken, and sauces must be tasty.
Food: The Karaage chicken is really delicious with a crispy breading and thick pieces of chicken. The chicken had a nice spicy kick to it. I also tried the shishito peppers than were also very good.
Service: The service was excellent and I picked up my Karaage chicken and peppers. The staff provided great service.
Atmosphere: The seats are comfortable and the tables are well situated in a corridor fashion. Not made for a long time to sit in the restaurant but enough for a quick bite.

Very crispy chicken with friendly owner. The chicken was freshly fried and juicy on the inside. We picked yuzu sauce which is mayo with citrus taste which helped tone down the usual fatty feeling when you eat frying food but I’d say something more flavorful (sweet/spicy) can help if you want more seasoning. The yuzu sauce helps me taste the umami from the chicken. Overall very happy with my karaage!

It will not be the easiest shop to find. It is located at the 3rd floor of the strip mall where the Japanese grocery is at.
One little note was I requested for water, I got a tiny little mini cup like the ones they give you in dental chair to gargle your mouth with It will be nice to just offer a pitcher or a dispenser outside.

Came here on a whim, got the chicken karaage. The wait was around 10 minutes and it came out fresh, hot, and super juicy! Reasonable price for the quality, it tastes healthier than other fried chicken spots. Good chicken to breading ratio.

Stopped by on a Friday night with my boyfriend and ordered two 5 piece Karaage chicken, rice, and sauce. We tried the yuzu aioli and the spicy mayo for the sauces – the yuzu aioli was very unique and enjoyable. The spicy mayo wasn’t that spicy so if you’re concerned about spice, know that it’s manageable. It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out. There was some indoor seating. There is a bathroom key on a ladle at the tablet if you need to use the restroom in the back. We found street parking but there is a lot where you can validate. The chicken was crispy, large, and juicy – I really enjoyed it!
