SO LOUD! This place could seriously benefit from some acoustic panels. I was excited about the concept and the menu, pub food and convenient location in town sounded great. Unfortunately we left disappointed and missing the previous occupant of this space. Food was tasty but, pricing and portions need work. No rush to go back.

Tried Hawks Nest Kitchen and Bar for the first time, it’s got that upper end pub feel with a great local crowd .. best kept secret is Maine Lunch is on tap.
The truffled Hawk Tots are good and the burger with bleu cheese was great but ask for extra blue cheese. 🙂

Hawk’s Nest Kitchen and Bar is a fantastic place to go. It is perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Their executive chef is an amazing chef, and also personable. The filet is always on point, and you could cut it with a butter knife. The tater tots, to die for. We have been in on numerous occasions, and the consistency of the friendly service and awesome food is key.
If you aren’t hungry, they make a fire espresso martini if you just want to drink and yap with your friends.

So I’m not sure where to start this review. The waitress was great. Drinks were good. The wife and I went here for Valentine’s Day dinner. We called for a reservation they said the only time they had available was 730 pm or later. We got there at 705 pm and there were plenty of tables available. we ordered the philly cheese steak egg roll. It was dry and barely any cheese in it. The dipping sauce was ice cold. The wife ordered the lobster ravioli special. It came out cold. The waitress said she would have them make a replacement. When it came out we noticed it was actually reheated! Seriously?!? What kind of chef reheats food?!?! Especially a so called executive chef. It’s kinda gross actually. Reheating food that someone started eating? I hope that didn’t come in contact with food that someone else ordered. That’s not very healthy or sanitary. Cross contamination? I ordered the surf and turf special. I really have no complaints about it except the seafood stuffed shrimp were small cocktail shrimp and I didn’t taste any seafood in the stuffing. Overall I give it a big fail. Valentine’s Day is a special day and any restaurant should strive to make it a good experience with good food. Instead it ruined the night and by the time we left it was too late to go elsewhere to eat. The bartender/ owner did take the entrees off our bill. I refused to eat and let my wife go hungry. I’m sorry but we will not be back. Maybe if they change their chef we will entertain going back again.
