The food is great! I stopped eating halfway to write this review because I fell in love with the flavor and the vibes The owners and their daughter is so cute!! They brought the food out to OUR CAR because it was cold outside..so sweet . It’s hard to find decent or authentic vietnamese banh mi in BCS. Oftentimes they only serve grilled meats instead of the traditional cold cuts (cha lua, etc) so I was pleasantly surprised!!
Their drinks are also fire. Get the salted plum kumquat for something refreshing and get the salted Vietnamese coffee for an energizing sweet drink

The egg rolls, crackling pork, beef, and plain rainbow fries were so amazing.
My partner does not usually like sweet potato fries but he loved these.
We will definitely be coming back. I loved having the cucumber and carrots included too.
Their egg rolls and crackling pork are to die for, so crunchy.
They even brought the order out to people’s cars today when it was so cold.

noticed there was a new food truck near midnight cravings and decided to have a go at it – so worth !! their bánh mì is SO FILLED and so flavorful. i got the og and crackling pork and both were super yummy but preferred the og. staff are super sweet and checked in on me and my friends plenty, even gave us rice milk tea on the house which was also good. i would def recommend if you have the time to stop by and give it a try, maybe a top 5 place in cstat for me :))

I had the crackling pork bahn mi and the salted Vietnamese coffee. Both were so delicious! The pork was juicy and had a nice crispy edge. The saté added a nice heat to the sandwich. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. The coffee was creamy and had a slight salt flavor. The person working there was very friendly. Highly recommend!

It’s true that all the best spots open up after you graduate here Me and my boyfriend came to try Saigonista on a whim when we were visiting friends, and little did we know it would become tradition to get some every Sunday that we’re back here! The bread is crunchy and warm and the meats are so juicy and filling!! It’s a flavor that has no competition in the cstat area, and coming from Austin and Dallas locals, it’s hard to find anything that compares in either cities! I hope they have franchising opportunities so that we have some closer to home! But coming back every other weekend to Saigonista makes our post grad trips to Cstat special every single time! 🙂

We ordered the OG banh mi, Rolled Beef and Crackling Pork, all of which taste amazing. The Rolled Beef is well-seasoned. The Crackling Pork, as its name suggests, is banging with crispy pork skin. The ham and cured pork in the OG taste good as well. Moreover, the garlic confit mayo is rich and creamy, which pairs well with pate and freshly made carrot and daikon pickle. These condiments help cut down the richness of the main protein, ensuring every bite tastes good ‘til the very last one.
For the drinks, we ordered salted coffee and sugarcane and kumquat juice. The juice is refreshing while the coffee is bold and rich with a salt creamy foam on top.
Highly recommend checking Saigonista if you’ve never tried Banh Mi and want to set high standards on your first experience.

BEST VIET FOOD AND DRINKS IN CSTAT!! They have the best banh mi and their sugarcane is *chef’s kiss*. My friends and I had a great time there, bring back such memories from our beloved Saigon!!
