Variety of options to choose from. Good food, friendly service and reasonable price. We had the pad Thai which was really good. As most Thai options, few dishes were very oily and saucy. Will go again to try few other dishes on the menu !

Used to be my absolute favorite restaurant. My husband and I have been coming here the first week of every month for over a year as our date night. But on our most recent visit, January 31st, a lot of things had changed. They hired a new waiter who was good but we missed our usual lady. They changed the look of the menus, changed the drinking glasses, and the food had definitely changed. I order the Singapore Noodles with chicken every month so I know what it normally tastes like, but this time the celery was cut differently and they included the gross white bottoms of the celery, the chicken was almost undercooked, the peppers and carrots were cut too big and weren’t cooked enough. The flavor was okay but the veggies were bland. Like they hadn’t had a chance to soak up the flavor of the spices.

Like I said, this place used to be my favorite restaurant. The food and service was amazing. But in the month of January, something changed with the chefs and the waiters and the way the place is run and it was for the worse. Won’t be coming back regularly unless it goes back to normal. 🙁

We were told to check out this place by some friends. Our server was really nice and prompt. The place itself had a decent feel. My husband ordered yellow curry and liked it. I ordered the cashew shrimp which was a chiefs specialty and that was a disappointment. The shrimp was cold the sauce had no flavor. It was bad enough that I couldn’t eat it. I had two bites because I paid almost $20 for the dish but i really couldn’t get myself to eat it. If you decide to come here stick with the curry and dont expect anything too great. Just an average place with average food a little pricey but we did receive good service.

Excellent restaurant with good ambiance and decor. Service was very attentive. We had three appetizers and three main dishes. All were very good, be at were on the spicier side. That’s fine for us as we regularly eat highly spiced food, but someone with a sensitive palate might want to ask them to tone it down just a bit. While we enjoyed our meal very much, the one slight negative was a green curry dish that seemed quite salty to our group of four. But overall a great experience and we will go again.

This was a pretty solid Thai restaurant. We went at 5:30 on a weeknight and it was pretty empty. Everyone loved their food. The menu was huge and it was hard to decide what to order. I ended up getting the ginger chicken which was great. My husband got the yellow curry with beef and really liked it. The service was good and friendly. I would go back again!

I have been ordering from Thai Orchid for years. Many years ago I was a regular at Siam on Bethel with my Mom and l loved it. I was so excited to hear the two were connected through relatives. I limit salt and they are amazing…Consistent service. Amazing food. They more than listen to special orders. Highly recommend. Thank you Thai Orchid!

I’ve been going to this restaurant since it was a literal hole in the wall on Sawmill Road, and loved it because the service was good and the food was amazing. And when they expanded, years ago, and turned it into an atmospheric, sit-down affair, the service was still good and the food was still amazing

So now that they’ve opened a new branch, and the old location is a different name (still owned by the same family) — how are they? Happily, only the location has changed. The service is still good, and the food is still amazing.

We had four people in around 5:30 on a sunday. We were the only people there, initially, but more customers filtered in around us. We were greeted quickly and warmly, seated, and given menus. The staff were able to answer questions about the menu and happy to do so.

And the food. My gods, the food. They still have the best hot and sour soup I have ever had, period. Their pork fried rice is ambrosial. I had the crazy noodles, which were spicy but not insanely so, my wife enjoyed her three flavors fish, and everyone else had good food choices, without any quibbles.

If you like Thai food, you need to visit this place, even if you live on the other side of town. And If you went here before, and wondered if it’s still good, the answer is yes.

On a more personal note: I was very sorry to hear that their proprietor passed away, recently. He was always a polite and outgoing fellow, and treated me like a valued customer, even when he didn’t see me for years at a time. I think he’ll be happy to know his business is still in good hands.

I always compare other Thai to this Thai orchid, but always find Thai Orchid to be our fave anywhere we go. It’s been family run for a long time, and the original owner died a few years ago. We miss his smile and greeting anytime we would dine inside. Thank you Thai Orchid for the always great and consistent food.

Great Thai food in a cozy relaxed setting. Turning the air conditioning on would help though as it was pretty warm during our visit – I’d say about 77° or 78°, so it was a little uncomfortable. Nice drink menu. Helps cool you off.

The ambience and the appetizers had my palate excited… until the main course arrived. The veggies were undercooked all the dinners that my wife, kid, and I ordered tasted like they had a healthy and generous sprinkling of sugar. Judging by the reviews by other users, it seems like this place needs to go back to its old chef.
