I literally asked for a HOT FRESH meal and said I would wait because I wanted it hot. The girl taking my order said “yes we can do that for you”. I’ve gotten cold food from here before so I was perfectly fine waiting. When I pulled up to the window they already had my food ready? Okay so not fresh. Was cold AND my ranch was chunky!! I guess the employees weren’t passing back the one brain cell fast enough.

Very nice new and clean location. The chicken strip basket with toast was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The have nice seating inside and patio area outside. Seating options are limited to four people per table. Now let’s move on to what we have all been waiting for… The ice cream. They have tons of ice cream options and they are all rediculously good.

This is, by far, the best DQ I have ever visited. As a local resident, it is frequented more than I would like to admit. That being said, the food quality is always consistent and the service is second to none. If you’re driving by our small town for a quick bite, do stop on in and you will feel as welcome as the local patrons.

Hartford SD’s Dairy Queen staff is amazing. The food Quality and efficiency exceeds any other in SD. The orders are NEVER messed up, the foods out in seconds not minutes like others and they always are smiling and very professional. Great JOB This is how ALL businesses service should be.

Hartford Dairy Queen impressed me once again!! The best customer service…Chase N. in the drive through is always so friendly and helpful! Such a great attitude and good representative of your business. The salad was just as fresh & delicious as the one I had the other day here. I drove several miles out of my way to visit the Hartford Dairy Queen, even though I was going to pass by a couple in Sioux Falls, where I was heading. The customer service is the reason I don’t mind driving further— keep up the great work!

Woman with tattoos on her neck (didn’t get her name and no name was listed on the receipt) in the drive through was incredibly rude to me and when I called to just let management know what had happened I was told “She’s been here for 2 years and you’re her first complaint so not sure what that’s about. Probably just a bad day”. Only Dairy Queen I would go to nowadays due to their excellent customer service but I guess not anymore.

I’d give this DQ 6 stars if I could! We arrived about 20 minutes before opening and the friendly staff let us in, this was greatly appreciated since we had a 9 hour drive ahead of us. Second, the food was the best DQ we’ve ever had. The burgers looked like the advertisement photos!
