Thank you Crystal for the review cards! Didn’t know this was a thing.

Piggybacking off of my aunt Vera;

I came in later that afternoon and witnessed even more of Cayla’s heart for hospitality, and it truly stayed with me. I watched as she helped guests put on their jackets, making sure they were comfortable, and then personally walked them out to their cars — not because she had to, but because she genuinely cared. Those small, thoughtful moments spoke volumes about who she is.
What made it even more meaningful is that this wasn’t new behavior. This is the same young woman I saw on Saturday, walking every single guest out to their cars in the rain. While most people would rush inside to stay dry, Cayla chose to stand in the rain so her guests wouldn’t have to. In today’s world, that kind of service is rare. It wasn’t rushed, it wasn’t forced — it was sincere, selfless, and full of heart.
Cayla is truly a pleasure and an absolute blessing to everyone she encounters. Off the Hook in Zachary is incredibly lucky to have her, and every guest who walks through those doors is just as fortunate. This is the kind of hospitality that people never forget — and the reason they always come back.

Off The Hook in Zachary is tops in my book. The food is fresh, delicious and served by friendly, helpful staff. I have tried most of the menu items and have not been disappointed with any. Good food is not the only thing that makes dinning out enjoyable though. A friendly, helpful staff is as important as the food and Zachary Off The Hook has a top notch staff. The staff will make this restaurant a huge success in Zachary.

The only way to describe this place “Simply Awesome”.

Best service by a mile, beyond friendly staff and awesome food. The Gumbo is top notch!! The chicken tenders (we get the platter) are the best we have ever had here in Louisiana.

This is now my favorite place to eat!!!
Man, I LOVE this place!!!!!

We are moving back to the area. So while touring homes, we stopped via drive-thru a couple of times to dine. Pics are from the first meal. The second was for two shrimp plates, onion rings and a snowball (pictured)-which is so cool and good. I brought the order to my aunts only to discover the whole order was wrong. Pretty our order and the car in front just got switched. I turned around and gave them a call as I headed back. The woman that answered was very nice and gave me some options to deal with the situation. I asked that it just be remade. I called when I got there and the general manager answered. Bryan was very nice and brought out my order within a few minutes. He spoke to me for a few minutes. They were very apologetic on the mistake and quickly made it right. Mistakes happen, we’re all human. The food was great! Very flavorful and the portions are huge. Thank you guys! We will be just as soon as we relocate home.

The shrimp were delicious, the catfish crispy, and the fries nicely seasoned. The wait staff was very good, and some of them seemed to have actual personalities, as compared to the usual “hellowelcometoburgerkingmayitakeyourorderplease” that you find in most other fast food places The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and their one TV was tuned to the Indiana-Oregon game, which is exactly what I wanted to see. The only “minus” occurred because I had a coupon and had to wait 10 or 15 minutes for the manager to come out and approve it.

I stopped by Off the Hook in Zachary today, and my heart truly left just as full as my stomach. From the moment I walked in, I was reminded why this place has always felt like more than just a restaurant. Seeing AGM Cayla again brought back so many memories from when Off the Hook first opened — watching her grow, lead, and pour herself into this place has been such a joy over the years. When she saw me and yelled, “Momma Vera!” across the room, I felt instantly seen and loved. That one moment alone made my entire day.
What stood out most wasn’t just the delicious food or the efficient service — it was the heart that fills that building. Watching Cayla lead her team with such care, confidence, and compassion was truly something special. She didn’t just manage the floor; she connected with people. Every guest interaction was filled with warmth, every conversation carried patience, and every detail showed intention. No one felt rushed. No one felt overlooked. Everyone felt welcome — like they belonged.
Her team mirrored that same spirit beautifully. They worked together with genuine smiles, kindness, and pride in what they do, creating an atmosphere that felt comforting and joyful all at once. It was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave — the kind that reminds you what real Southern hospitality looks like and how powerful it is when leadership is rooted in love, respect, and service.

Great decor and wonderful Zydeco music playing in the background. Chicken and Sausage Gumbo was excellent, Seafood Gumbo was just as good, and the Etoufee reminded me of Picadilly’s Etoufee back in the day. If you’re in Zachary don’t hesitate to stop in, best drive thru Seafood if that is what you’re craving.

First time eating at this restaurant I was expecting to eat seafood, but when I saw the roast beef Poboy on the menu, there was no other choice. The roast beef was New Orleans debris style sandwich. It was off the hook. Tibo, I gave you an offer the hook rating on that sandwich. I said I had. I felt like I needed a shower after eating that thing man I hate gravy everywhere. No problem. Everything else we go to the chicken place better than the dog. Will we get shrimp and chicken there’s no no need to go back there again we have shrimp you got you got you got my business on that rose beef Poboy used to be.

The service was nice and the drive thru people was too. But I ordered a Coke and when I got home it was a tea. & I ordered two kids fish plates. I gave one to my two year old and in the middle of her eating she hands me a long toothpick. Please have the cooks look in the boxes to make sure nothing is misplaced. Thank God my baby did not eat the toothpick.

Welp!! This is probably about my fourth time coming to off da hook. I always love it!! Not this time
I literally just left there after work. It was 4:30pm on November 5, 2025. First of all, the speaker doesn’t work great, I could not hear very good and kept asking her to repeat. The speaker needs to be fixed..
The lady didn’t read my order back to me, so I had to get her to do it for me when I got to the window. The lady at the window was super unprofessional complaining about her job. I could hear everything. I got the fried fish platter and a shrimp Poboy.. of course I had to check my stuff, because I was missing my drink, my sauces and my fries for my fish plate. I informed them and they gave me the items that I ordered. Everything looks really good, but when I get home and start eating my fish, I can tell that it has been cooked probably this morning when they opened and has been sitting out all day. It taste like old fish.. you guys GOTTA get it together and be consistent otherwise you’re gonna lose great customers like me whom live In Zachary 🙂
