This is a GEM !! Very nice, friendly atmosphere. The mini tacos were so flavorful! & I do not like refried beans at all.. but their refried beans are SO GOOD, I now just don’t like everybody else’s refried beans!! Don’t walk RUN here and try it. If you were just contemplating let me help you decide, EAT HERE, ITS GREAT!

The place was cute, clean, staff was friendly and attentive. My husband ordered the carne asada, beans,rice and salad.I got they their mini taco platter with 4 tacos, 2 pastor and 2 asada with cilantro, onions and charro beans on the side. Unfortunately we both agreed that the food was drastically under seasoned except for the pastor and charro beans. The pastor meat had a very strong taste of chilli powder and the beans had a strong taste of cumin in them. But the asada for both us had no seasoning at all and just didn’t look or taste good:(

The three taco dinner was subpar. The tacos had very little meat. Maybe a tablespoon or two. The refried beans were dry. I didn’t like the flavor of the rice. Very disappointed! Today was taco Tuesday and the tacos were lacking!.
We won’t order from them again and I don’t recommend this restaurant.

The service was good but the food was not very good. My sister got a quesadilla and it was almost soggy. The fajitas I got also were not very good. Maybe they had a new cook or an off day? We were very disappointed and will not be going back. My sister and I drive to this general area once a month to meet up because it is our halfway point. We will not be wasting our time here again.

I cannot express how happy I was to find this “hidden gem” (to us). We make the drive through Nebraska fairly frequently and, as vegans who try to eat relatively healthily, we don’t usually have a very easy time finding food along the highway. This was some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in my life; their salsa is incredible and we really enjoyed our veggie fajitas (sorry I didn’t get a photo!). I was even able to get some agua de jamaica, which I drank all day every day when I lived in Mexico, but don’t frequently get to treat myself with here in the states. I cannot express how grateful I am that we found Casa Vieja!!!
