The owner is always present and comes out and checks to see how your meal is going and the best part is if you have never had Filipino food before, every other Sunday they host a wonderful buffet with a great selection of Filipino foods and they always have a Chinese item as well such as honey chicken, General tso’s chicken, or something similar.
It’s an amazing experience to try a food that has such a unique delicious taste and I’m proud to say that I go there at least monthly often twice a month.
It’s a shame that this delicious place has been open for over 3 years now and is not filled up with a bunch of people waiting!
I got the crispy pork belly with white rice, broccoli and with some hot chili oil and vinegar sauce; that was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!
I always wanted to try this place out ever since I saw it two years ago and it did not disappoint!!!! The customer service was absolutely wonderful, with very attentive and courteous staff that made the experience so comfortable!
I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and he was lovely! He told me about the restaurant’s nice, the menu and the why’s and how’s on the dishes available and more about the restaurant!
I got some before and after photos so y’all see how good this food is; and I wanted to finish all the rice but I got so full mid way and I didn’t wanna back out . Wonderful place, delicious food, great prices and definitely a experience that was worth it .
I got all the favorites… Pancit, Adobo, Menudo, Pinakbet, etc… And paired it with the banana sauce I got next door I haven’t had Filipino food in years, and not regularly since my dad passed. I felt so welcomed to be here.
We walked in and it was a pretty big, open space with plenty of tables – big enough for a party or small banquet. Nothing fancy, but very welcoming. We were immediately greeted by Analynn herself as she showed us to our table. She then sent Dan over to take our orders. We ordered the kare kare (peanut stew) with lechon kawali (crispy pork belly), sizzling pork adobo, beef bulalo (bone marrow soup), and pansit to share.
The food arrives and Analyn’s presentation is magnificent! [If looks could be tasted]. Time to eat! WOW!!! The kare kare was flavorful; the peanut sauce with perfect consistency; the vegetables cooked perfectly and placed on top; the lechon kawali perfectly crispy! The sizzling pork adobo was no adobo I’ve ever had before. I usually like mine wet… with sabaw (sauce), but this version of Annalyn’s was amazing! And the bulalo… the flavors of umami punches your tastebuds with the first sip!!!
By gosh… this is some of the best Filipino food I have had ANYWHERE, but especially in NEO!!! Looking forward to trying their buffet – 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month! And of course, there’s a ton more on their menu that we will be back for. A three hour roundtrip for this culinary gem is definitely worth the while! If you’re a fan of the cuisine, pro tip: DO NOT miss Dannalynn’s!!!
For us this was a close detour following a long afternoon on the trails at Mill Creek Park.
Pansit, Lumpia, Chicken Adobo, etc.
If you are in need of vegetarian options – Pansit Bihon with Eggs, Fried rice (in the photo are fried chopped onions in the rice, and they are delicious), and Halo-halo for dessert.
With the Halo-halo we had the purple yam and mango ice cream
There was also karaoke while we were there.
Salamat,
