WOW!! Even during the busiest week of the year for this area, this place was absolutely exceptional on every category. We sat at the bar but it wasn’t just the bartenders that were super friendly and helpful. The food was a little pricey but if you’re from NYC and you’ve been searching for delicious Chinese food since you left, this is the place. I got the beef lo mein and you can actually specify the temperature you’d like the steak. The atmosphere was swanky, which i love. It was absolutely perfect. Also credit for having delicious hot sake! I would recommend this place 100%

My husband and I were walking around downtown West Palm Beach when we came across Shanghai’d. We passed by here a few times and I’ve always been curious and I’m so glad that we decided to finally come in. We tried the Szechuan dumplings and short rib pad see ew. They did not disappoint! An explosion of flavors. Will come back again. Shout out to our waitress Alex who was friendly and helpful.

As long-time Kapow customers, we were excited to come back and try the new restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. The food was just okay, the tuna crispy rice was more gummy than crispy, though the calamari was actually better than what Kapow used to serve.
The real disappointment was the service. We waited over 15 minutes just to get our drinks, and every time we tried to get our server’s attention, they looked right at us and kept walking. It was our anniversary, and the lack of hospitality truly put a damper on the evening.
What was once a place you could never get a table at was nearly empty, only three tables on a Sunday, which says a lot. I genuinely hope they address the service issues and bring the food quality back up to Kapow standards, because the restaurant deserves to succeed.

We used to come to this spot before the rebrand, and while I’ll admit I liked the old Kapow name a little better, we genuinely enjoyed the new experience. The projected anime on the walls is a really cool touch and gives the whole place a fun, energetic vibe.
We started with a couple of great cocktails, and the food absolutely delivered. The spicy tuna crispy rice was fantastic, the smash burger was excellent, and the short rib pad Thai was truly to die for.
Overall, Shanghai’d is a great refresh of a place we already loved, and we’ll definitely be back.

Recently paid two visits in one week because of how good the midnight lotus drink is!! Megan was my server both times, her kindness, patience and attention to detail made my experience better each time. She made us feel comfortable and was knowledgeable about all of the questions that we had. Thank you so much! Didn’t realize the name was changed over but it still is very good! With better desserts

I’ve been coming here for the last 6 years+, the staff, food, and environment are top tier. JP is amazing at running things and we loveeee Kevin behind the bar and in front of the people. Great energy. Great suggestions every time I want to try something new, I love everything on the menu. We need the beef jerky and key lime pie back please, I’m willing to start a petition. The new crab cakes are to die for! Look.

This is our go-to restaurant for our little family of three and for when we take visiting friends & family out to brunch or dinner.
FOOD is always bomb. A few favorites:
-wok charred edamame
-tuna crispy rice
-duck fried rice
-new edition of the pho-king awesome pho (such a unique combo of Mexican & Vietnamese)
-and my wife loves the bao buns too, basically all of them
-beignets/donuts — nutty how good these things are!
STAFF has been rad all around for years, ever since the first time we ate here back in 2020 (when it was called Kapow). A standout individual has been Kevin: super knowledgeable, super sweet and just a great, joyous presence all around. (Our almost 4-yr-old loves this guy.. “Kevin! Where’s
Kevin??”)
AMBIENCE is even better now with the changeover to Shanghai’d. Interior got a real makeover, especially imo the booth/long wall bench areas and the insane art wall with unique projector coloring/action. We’re sitting there mesmerized by the freakin’ graphics! So cool.
Overall, we don’t have a single negative thing to say about the place.
Cheers to you all at Shanghai’d for making such a well-rounded spot where we consistently love to spend our time and money! Keep rocking, much love.
