Soups, sandwiches, and wine at this cute little counter-service eatery. On a nice day, this is a lovely place to enjoy a glass and have a sandwich. Sadly, the sandwiches just weren’t that good; the grilled cheese was soggy rather than crispy, and the ham and brie weren’t what you would expect, being somewhat smooshed flat. Go for the wine, skip the sandwiches, or try one of the other restaurants.

Under new ownership the Market Place is alive and thriving again providing a family focused gathering space with great food, personable service and genuine hospitality. A menu with something for everyone I highly recommend the avocado toast with pickled onions and fresh greens. My group of meat eaters enjoyed the breakfast option on thier choice if Cresent and sourdough.
We plan to make this a regular thing!
Highly recommend

Super friendly staff. The perfect pitstop for my bike ride around Bainbridge! I’ll definitely visit again. ☺️

We had excellent afternoon appetizers and a delicious glass of hard-to-find Washington State wine. All at a very reasonable price. I can’t wait to go back for a full dinner.

I often stop by The Marketplace during my work lunch breaks or on a Saturday afternoon, and it’s always a treat. Their chicken pita dish is delicious, and the side of baklava makes for the perfect sweet finish. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and inviting — a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal or a bottle of wine. I highly recommend spending some time in this delightful establishment. A special thank you to Nikos and Alexis for their outstanding hospitality!

Horrible service. They completely forgot two orders at my table today and there were at least two other tables who weren’t getting their food either. I don’t know what happened but I’ll never go back. If we hadn’t asked about our orders we’d never have known that our food wasn’t even on the docket anymore. The place wasn’t busy and wasn’t even halfway full. I’ve worked in the restaurant business and I can understand being behind when you’re swamped but this wasn’t the case at all. We never got any explanation for what happened beyond, “we don’t know what happened.” I almost never write bad reviews because I know how hard it is to run a restaurant, but this was ridiculous. We didn’t even order anything complex. Just some lox bagels and soup and spanakopita. I’ll never go back.

Unbelievable. I used to come here to get a nice large BLT that came on delicious sourdough bread that didn’t have hair included. And now for $20 after tax and tip, you can get a poorly sized sandwich on basic bread, with a pickle (under the chips) that comes with a hair on it?
Last trip here that I’ll be making.

Friendly staff. Good ice coffee and cozy atmosphere. Restroom is outside of the coffee shop. Most recent visit April 2019. We visited this place again for breakfast and the simple bagels and Greek yogurt were great. Very friendly staff as always. Nice atmosphere in the weekday morning.

Great location and ambiance. On a nice day, outdoor seating is the only way to go. They have bakery items, hot sandwiches, salads, charcuterie, wine, cocktails, and a decent beer list. I felt the lunch menu was limited and service was a little slow, though it was a busy day and restaurants are still adjusting to the new COVID guidelines. The whole village area seems very pet-friendly, in fact it was pet-popular on this day. It’s good to see people out and about again!

Beautiful, clean restaurant, nice portions for the price and nice and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. They are very allergy friendly.
