Great service, chill atmosphere. Would not get the steak tacos again. Pretty sure they used parsley, not cilantro, and the seasoning was odd. Needed a sauce of some sort, maybe an avocado aioli. They were a great value though and the presentation was well done. Our other dish, Gochujang Rice Bowl, was yum…Get that!!

From a search: “upscale yet casual atmosphere, featuring American cuisine with inventive twists, craft cocktails, and a good selection of local beers, making it a great place for watching sports or enjoying happy hour. Chef Travis Gunn leads the kitchen, focusing on fresh, locally sourced ingredients for dishes like steak al pastor tacos and elotes corn dip, alongside brunch and daily specials.”

Well go back, for sure, just gonna avoid the tacos.

I think this place might be the best kept secret in Salem. Food was delicious and fresh. Service was above and beyond. Drink were always filled, people checked in frequently and everything was correct. Burger looks funny in the pic as its halved. We’re not big eaters and like to also take leftovers for later. When we ordered we mentioned we’d split the food. They split it without asking and served it on separate plates. Let me tell you the quality didn’t change. They’re using good quality meats too. Kudos to this well kept secret!

Will need to give them another try for a more accurate experience.
They were busy with a private party and we waited 45 mins for our food.
The New York steak taco was the best thing but the waygu slider was definitely over cooked and the meat was dry
The Cajun chicken tortellini was not bad, chicken was a little dry
I’m sure they would be better on a less busy day

I loved the Wagyu Sliders. Pretzels and the cheese dip were fantastic! We also ordered the Tacos with mango-marinated New York strip, onion, and cilantro. So yummy! I would recommend everything about the things I tried and cannot wait to try more. Service was very friendly and attentive. We were greeted right away and didn’t have to ask for refills once. Restaurant was also very clean. Food was amazing. My new favorite restaurant in Salem!

If your around the Mall this is a must stop! My wife Cynthia and I had appetizers – beer cheese and pretzel bites but to my amazement it came with kilbasa that was a game CHANGER! SOOO GOOD! We also had their house buffalo wings those where AMAZING! For our entree my wife had the Wolfhound smash burger she said it was mouth watering. I had the sliders and again they where a game CHANGER! We also had a shot of whiskey and a Captain and coke. Our sever JAMES was SUPERB! He was very attentive and social! My wife and I have a nephew named James which I think we all do lol and they are very similar 😉
I’m giving 5 stars because this is the real deal and I’m honest! I’m giving 3 stars for atmosphere because there was no sign or eye catching decor outside and I really think they should have a separate bar area? I also have some more menu idea’s that I think would do really well with the simple menu they have now? Kinda like the game changer beer cheese and pretzel bits,
Do something unique with fried mushrooms and fried pickels with fries??
Thnx for reading and enjoy!

My wife & I decided to try a new to us spot downtown for a Friday night dinner. First off, I’ll say the service was great. Servers were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is also pretty good, though I think the chairs are a bit too wide for the tables & the tables are too close together.
As for food & drink: I was eyeballing a couple of the cocktails but decided on the margarita. That was a mistake. Worst margarita I’ve ever had. It was straight up sour and a bit bitter. That was the extent of the flavor. Just bad. Probably should’ve sent it back, but I really hate being that guy.
My wife got the smash burger, which it seems like everyone does these days, so you really need to be on point. This one was not impressive. The patty itself was flavorless and seemingly not seasoned much, if at all. The wagyu sliders were better, but the cook on all three was slightly different, with the last of the three I ate being fairly well done & dry. I don’t know what the type of fries they serve are called, but they’re basically mashed potato sticks. They had smoked paprika on them, which helped, but neither of us finished our serving.
One other annoyance… One of the bathrooms was out of paper towels. It’s not ideal to have to try to dry your hands with a toilet seat liner or on your pants before you eat.
Overall, I can’t recommend Wolfhounds. I’m glad most of the other reviews seemed to have a better experience than we did. I want to support local and see them succeed, but I doubt we’ll return based on our experience.

Looking for food in Salem is TOUGH. After striking out twice downtown, we stumbled upon Wolfhounds. Privately owned husband and wife team. We ordered the wings, which were really amazing. Order them crispy with extra sauce…. We upgraded to garlic fries which were also studded with garlic and thym-very generously topped! Their steak tacos are AMAZING. Flour tortilla, piled high with mango marinated steak. The flavor profiles are so yummy! In addition, the tacos come with house made “doritos” which are unlike anything you’ve had! Comes with a pickled salsa, also phenomenal!! Everything on their menu sounded amazing and we will definitely be back! They’ve been here a year (I was shocked too!!!) Family friendly and they have televisions to watch the games! Don’t skip this place! Open on Sundays!!!!

Food was really good! Burgers where Big for the Price, different options for sides and Vegan options if needed!

And if you want to host a big group of people they have a banquet area that can seat up to 20 People!
There’s no charge to rent the area only you must spend a total of $400 minimum.

Came up from KF & stopped in on a Tuesday for late lunch. Wasn’t too busy, great music and overall vibe. Was a little hard to find since the outdoor street patio blocks their restaurant name sign from the street view but it’s nice they have that extra outdoor seating area.

Service was excellent & I enjoyed my cocktail.
My Mom & I shared the DELICIOUS sliders & the fries were also something to brag about!!
Such a flavorful meal with quality ingredients we both really enjoyed!
Appreciated the chef also coming to our table for a quality check.
Feels like owners/staff genuinely care about your experience.
Showed my hand next to burger in pic for size reference and I have big hands for a female.
I’ve seen some tiny one/two bite sliders but these were great and not tiny at all.

Will definitely be back to try more of the menu when we’re in town!
Great experience overall, thanks guys!!
