I highly recommend the broccoli garlic pizza, the kale ravioli with mushroom sauce, and the spaghetti and meatballs are good enough for even the pickiest eater.
We sat in a well lit sunroom and had a solid menu of offerings to go over.
I ordered the orecchiette pasta w/pancetta. My parents ordered seafood dishes. We started w/ wrapped asparagus and all our meals came out fairly promptly fresh made to order.
The grilled wrapped asparagus had a great char and the cheese on top was of good quality as the flavor was sharp n pungent. A really great starter for what was to come.
My pasta was al dente and had a nice consistency to it. The pancetta was high quality and the broccoli rabe was made right (meaning it wasn’t tough n stringy, I hate that). The flavor on the sauce was phenomenal and overall the dish was great cept for one lil nagging issue. It was extremely Salty! I prefer it under salted so I can add to taste but outside of this all the food was delicious.
Would def recommend and will be returning. I’ll just know to request the salt toned down.
The choc cake is not too sweet, just right.
Was visiting a friend nearby and we went to DiNardo’s as it was the only place that was open. Upon entering the waitress was quite sassy and unresponsive. Additionally, the ambiance was poor—as my friend described it, “it felt like a Lego set”.
We were first given some mediocre warmed bread and a very suspicious dip that gave my friend acid reflex (see photo). The food followed shortly and left much to be desired. The pizza was probably the best part and was ok at best. But it all left a strange taste in our mouths and queasiness in our stomachs.
If this is the only place open when you’re in Pound Ridge, do yourself a favour and drive to the next town instead.
