Came here for the first time. Never had churchs before. I don’t think I’ve ever had this bland chicken in my entire life. It tastes like they just coated it in plain flour and batter and fried it. I got it fresh(had to wait 5 min but it’s worth it for fresh fried chicken!) And I think that was its mildly saving grave. Very crispy, juicy chicken but not a hint of salt or pepper or ANYTHING. The bread/biscuits were really good! Their corn was probably the best I’ve ever had. Had the jalapeño bombers and those were decent too. But the chicken was just so plain it was so disappointing. 🙁
The prices online also don’t reflect what they have in store. I checked online and they offered a 10 peice family meal deal with 10 legs and thighs and 2 sides for about 25 dollars. I double and triple checked the location on their website. I didn’t want to order online and drive there to pick up because i wanted the chicken fresh. Drove there- and lo and behold it was no where to be found on their menu. They also didn’t advertise it as an online only deal either. So instead of getting what was advertised I ended up getting a 8 peice family meal which was 8 peices of chicken, ONE side, and biscuits for 30 dollars!!
Yes, I know I could’ve gone somewhere else but I drove all the way here and really wanted some chicken. The sides(biscuits, corn, jalapeño bombers) were what saved it from being a 1 star because it wasn’t bad- just…very VERY bland chicken. If it had flavor then the crispy skin and juicy meat would’ve been AMAZING!

Ordered the bone in wings combo with fries. I guess the wings would have tasted better if sauced and the fries were cold. I also ordered biscuits and they were the best part of the meal (I’m not even a biscuit eater).

They only put half a teaspoon of Buffalo sauce on my 4 piece boneless wings. Atmosphere was very sad. Bathroom was gross.

I’m from San Antonio, where this restaurant started, and the original building still stands today. Although this is a franchised location, as is the other 4 locations in Washington, the food was a taste of home for me. Love and miss the honey covered biscuits as well as the chicken and super cheesey mac n cheese.

I love church’s chicken and I just happen to park infront of this one when I was renewing my tabs so I went in and got some chicken and I don’t know if I went in at the right time or what because everything was super fresh and delicious!! It’s just too bad they don’t have the frosted honey butter biscuits anymore!!

I bought 2 chicken sandwiches and they were the worst I’ve ever had. The bun was hard as a rock. The chicken patties were small compared to the Church’s in Lakewood Washington. I’ll never go to this establishment in FederalWay again!

Chicken is almost flavorless; I didn’t get the corn I ordered, no butter and honey for the biscuits (honey glaze doesn’t cut it, and I tasted no butter) and the window cashier is so removed from the ordering process it looked completely unprofessional. I will never return to Church’s – I’ll stick to Popeye’s or the gold standard, KFC.

I went to Church’s Texas Chicken around 9:30 PM during my lunch break and was very disappointed. The drive-thru staff told me they were out of everything spicy—no spicy tenders, no spicy chicken, not even fries unless I waited 6 minutes. No alternatives offered, no effort to accommodate, just “no” across the board. Spent $26 and left feeling like I wasted both my money and break. If they’re not going to have anything available, they might as well close at 9. Do better.
