Went on a Saturday night. I have to say the food was really good. We tried the ultimate Triple, which you could have your choice of meats, the gumbo, the pulled pork sandwich, several sides to include mac & cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, potatoes. The coleslaw was tasteless, just red cabbage & mayonnaise, but the other sides were good. The problem was the service. The staff was very friendly, but it took way too long. We ordered around 6:30 PM and within 20 minutes 4 people in our party of 6 got their food. After another 20 minutes, I went up and asked the bartender/manager/server about the rest of our food. She gave an excuse about them being “slammed.” There was one other table where we were and in back there was an additional table of people. Three tables on a Saturday night does not seem “slammed” to me, but whatever (later the excuse was someone new in the kitchen). She then came by & took their order again, and we saw her put it in the computer, so obviously the food was never ordered in the first place. Another 30 minutes went by before the food came. We had tickets to a show at 8:00, so they had to inhale their food. We heard the table next to us complaining that they didn’t get some of their sides either. They don’t bring you forks & napkins. I had to hunt those down. So in summary, the food is quite tasty, but the service is horrible. I would recommend not going on a Saturday night. Oh, and she said that she would “comp” them. The only thing they were given was a small bowl of gumbo, no free drinks, nothing. And it took an hour to get a glass of water after three requests for it.

omg, we are so glad we came here. we wanted to come try it because of all the amazing options, every single thing was a hit! all the meat was so flavorful and super super tender. the texas toast super buttery and grilled perfectly. the mac n cheese was so creamy, hush puppies golden, collared greens seasoned to literal perfection, cornbread casserole was extremely moist as well. even the appetizer, the hand breaded boneless, the BONE IN buffalo wings were so good, and the mozzarella sticks are not the typical frozen ones either. our waitress Shera was so lovely and accommodating and the chef Richie even came out to check on us and see how everything was. honestly one of the best restaurant experiences i’ve ever had in the IV. we will be back often❤️

Just found this place today. We wanted something different while we were in town and this was it.
We ordered the play of 3 meats and 2 sides and split it between the two of us. We took home leftovers.
We had the brisket, 1/2 slab of ribs and pulled pork, Mac and cheese and smoky beans.
They rub is a subtle sweet rub that is very good. The brisket was tender and had a great flavor. The pulled pork was my favorite. So good!!
The Mac and cheese is a casserole style, served as a cut out square. I’m a bit of a snob about Mac & cheese and this passed my test. It astute tasted like real Mac and cheese. Thumbs up there!!
The Smokey beans were Smokey and good.
The dining area is a nice size and quieter than the bars area.
The service was good and fairly fast.
I definitely recommend.

I’m traveling for work and this place initially caught my eye because of all the great reviews. When I arrived, there were only a couple of cars in the parking lot and the restaurant looked empty, and it was about an hour before closing, I figured I’d check if they were still open anyway. Turns out they were. They had just finished their rush about an hour and a half before I got there (8pm).
I highly recommend the Smokin’ Double or the Triple—it’s totally worth it. I had the pulled pork and brisket w/two sides, and wow, it was delicious. The staff was extraordinary. One of the younger ladies that was taking my order seemed a bit on the newish side, but she did an amazing job even without much help.
Overall, this is a great spot, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Stopped in for the first time tonight with family and will visit again for sure. My brisket was fork tender, moist, tasty, and with a balanced smokiness (not strong, not too light) and a good portion size. The beans were flavorful too; I’d get both again. Others had brisket sandwich, chicken tenders, chicken and waffles and everyone enjoyed their food. The cheese curds are some of the best we’ve had in Illinois. The bartenders and staff were upbeat and friendly. The music wasn’t too loud. The Flight beer on tap was easy drinking, then the smoked s’mores old fashioned was fun, finished table side. As expected it was a little sweet, but the smoke offset that and it paired surprising well with the brisket.

Decided to try something new and we weren’t disappointed! I ordered online the ultimate triple platter with the andouille sausage, pulled pork and ribs with the beans and Mac n cheese. The husband got the fried chicken with hush puppies and mashed potatoes. We also got a brisket chili to share. Everything was hot, flavorful, juicy and well worth the price! And a bonus we have leftovers for tomorrow!

We stopped in last night for the first time. I was really, really hungry and still ended up with a lot of leftovers! I definitely suggest ordering the two or three meat platter. You get a lot of good food for your money! Great bark, great flavor, the sauces are delicious; I had no complaints!

The lady that greeted us was very polite and accommodating ! She took our order at the counter and showed my child where there were toys, and a kid’s show was playing for her as well. It was pretty empty and the food was a bit more costly than expected, but the food was very good! My brother had the ribs and said it was excellent. We enjoyed the bacon appetizer as well. I had the brisket and pulled pork with sides of Mac and cheese and mashed taters. My husband had the smokehouse burger and liked it. The sides were phenomenal and the brisket was amazing! I would recommend some $$ when going here but well worth the trip!

My ribs were fantastic. The baked beans were some of the best I have eaten. The beer was cold.
My grandson had the pulled pork and Mac a cheese and he said it was good. We also got to sample their brisket and it was very good and I will order it next time.
The staff were very friendly and polite.
