I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. I ordered the fish with yams and Mac & Cheese. I think the food needed more seasoning. It didn’t have that “southern” taste that I was expecting. The service was average, but I like the ambience of the restaurant. I do want to go back and try the shrimp based on the reviews.

Ordering here is like hit or miss I ordered here a couple of times and theres non consistency with food. Ive left reviews on doordash but for some reason the 1 5 star review I left got posted while all the others got disregarded which is what brought me here.. so I ordered from here 2 days back to back yesterday everything was hot seemed fresh and on point.. the food today was complete opposite it was horrible idk if it was a different chef, old food or what but first off the yams not only looked old and like I was given scraps and what was leftover but tasted the same way as it look and I had to throw away immediately the salmon “looked” good but was cold and didnt taste how it usually does so I couldnt eat it and the whiting was overcooked everything was a hot mess & again I ordered the day before left a 5star rating and review but today the food was just awful.. I called to complain and find out why I was given old food and the employee who picked up said I can get free yams next time I come.. not to come back and theyll replace it(bc I got the scraps and what was leftover and he knew he was wrong) but to come back another day and he would give me a free one save your money this place is hit or miss eat at your own risk i took some pics of the yams and I shouldve took a pic of the entire order tbh smh

I ordered food from this place off uber eats and was disgusted to see a large bug in my veggies (broccoli). This is neglectful and nasty and unsafe. Called the store and spoke with Rodge and after asking to speak with a manager they said he was next door then hung up on me. I called right after and spoke to Mervin who said the manager doesnt come until 6-7. Call was made at 5 pm. They said the manager name is Junior. Went into the store in person the next day and spoke with junior and showed him the photos. He was unimpressed, unshocked, and not surprised. He told me yes it came from the broccoli (clearly) and he said tells his employees to make sure they wash the veggies because when they get new bags—which is everyday apparently, theres little bugs in the veggies. This is however clearly large and has been growing for some time & clearly wasnt washed and was just thrown in and cooked with the broccoli. So he admitted that his employees/cooks are untrained and neglectful. He says he has talked to them multiple times & has alerted his supervisor of the issue before of issues similar to mine. He continued to explain that this issue has been discussed before. When I state that this is an issue and unsafe food handling he tells me in front of a witness that he understands because he could imagine if I was allergic to it or something. I tell him thats besides the point a human should not be consuming insects/bugs first of all. Secondly you guys are aware of the issue for a while and yet there is no solution. No new vendors, no new trained employees who are fit to handle food safely. I said if they cant even wash veggies properly I doubt they can handle cleaning meat. Its disgusting. He then explains how the meat is cleaned and he says he tells his employees how to clean the meat and he continues to contradict himself because if your employees dont wash the veggies unless you are there watching them, how are you going to prove that the meat is cleaned before it is cooked. The place in person is dirty. Ordering off uber eats you have no clue of the condition of the establishment in person. I tell him that keeping employees you know are unfit for the job is a major risk to human consumption safety and he tells me he understands because he’s picky with his food as well. I tell him its not a matter of not wanting garlic on my food its the matter of I dont eat bugs, specifically something that appears to be a caterpillar, worm, and i pray not a maggot. The manager kept explaining how it got there and that he will tell his boss. The conversation was not satisfactory within the least. This place in Elmont is very negligent, unsafe, disgusting. Im honestly shocked.

So I heard good things about this place & I’m not one to leave reviews but I just had to. I gave it 3 stars because the meats were good as hell. But I literally got a spoon of Mac & cheese. Now don’t get me wrong the fried chicken ( even though I asked for sweet chili and got plain wings that I had to add my own sauce to) was good and the whitening. But when it came to the sides baby don’t waste your time. My broccoli was just steamed broccoli no nothing on it not even butter. I had to spice it up myself. The Mac & cheese was non existent.

Excuse it being a lil eaten into . I ordered on Uber eats and this is the results. Salmon, mashed, and broccoli. It’s tricky when ordering fish to be delivered nether the less the food came warm and delicious, was pretty well seasoned and the salmon tasted fresh not frozen. Pricing was also good considering today’s economy. Can’t complain!!

Bought the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Delicious, great size chuncks of meat in it. Cajun Crab boil bags taste great, the crab leg sizes were bigger than I expected along with the Shrimps in it. Definitely recommend this place, will be going back again.

Came here for Sunday dinner and it was delicious! The food was well seasoned and the portions were satisfactory. The Mac and cheese were a little oily but it was tasty nonetheless. Will be back for more!

Bruh how come I ordered shrimp and sides and only got the sides??? Miss ma’am shrimp is not cheap!!!! Then I reordered because I was really hungry and craving shrimp and oh boy what a mistake! The corn and the shrimp were sour! Not fresh at all. I ordered garlic shrimp so why does it taste spoiled?!??! And the corn had rice on it so it’s like they took it out someone else plate.. now what if I was allergic to rice smh… overall a bad experience TWICE so never again!!! Save yah coinssssss!!!!!
