Nice small place right on Walnut street. It has a limited indoor sitting but good, reasonably priced Japanese food. Service is kinda meh. Server seemed lost most of the time & also claimed they have free tea refills, but then we got charged extra for refill with reasoning that only hot water is free & tea bags on refills are extra. Piling dirty dishes on the limited table space became also an issue. Free street parking.

Cute place owned and run by an Indonesian family. The sushi is creative, fresh, and pocket-friendly. I got the chirashi bowl, which had cool types of fish—nicely varied between fishy and mild, salty and sweet, and also included tamago (omelette).
As it is a family restaurant, don’t visit here if you’re in a hurry. There’s only one sushi chef, so the food comes kind of slowly. But you’ll be well taken care of if you spend the time!

Hidden gem in Philly. The chef crafted one of best Chirashi and handrolls I’ve ever eaten, period. His skill in choosing the assorted fresh fish combined with the skill in prepping, torching, and mixing with different sauces really bring it up to the next level.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The vibe is so cozy and wholesome, had a great meal and conversation with owner and head chef. His dedication to his craft and providing exceptional halal food is admirable. The best ramen, and don katsu in Pennsylvania hands down. Will be coming back soon.

Delicious Halal Java Noodles – A Must Try!
I really enjoyed this meal! The noodles were perfectly cooked—soft and chewy—with tasty chicken and fresh vegetables like bean sprouts, carrots, and green onions. The sauce was full of flavor, a nice mix of sweet, savory, and a little spicy—just like real Javanese food.
It also came with fresh pickles and crispy crackers, which made the dish even better. The portion was just right and very satisfying.
The restaurant had a cozy vibe and friendly service. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious and halal Indonesian food. I will definitely come back again!

From the ambiance to the service to the taste, this is now my favorite sushi spot. It’s a warming welcome as soon as you step in. The wait isn’t long even with constant orders going out for door dash. The owners and the whole family are kind and cool. And the ambiance? Amazing. I’ve attached photos in case you needed proof. I’m actually on my way there now for my lunch break to get my usual of fried California roll and prolly a eel roll

Came in for dinner. I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while and finally did. The first thing that strikes you is how lovely and cozy the environment is. Wooden table and chairs, real tea-light candles on the tables, and warm overhead lighting. It invokes a feeling of warmth and prepares you to have a delicious Japanese meal. We confirmed that the meat is hand-slaughtered halal, so I ordered a Beef Ramen.I also got a Tuna roll, Avocado roll, and the house salad. The service is kind, attentive, and patient. Any questions we had were answered clearly, and we felt very welcome. Now for the food: Delicious !!! ⭐️ . The broth (which you can choose between miso or chicken, i chose miso) was just the right amount of spicy, and was the perfect level of a creamy broth without being too runny or too thick. The beef was flavorful, and the noodles were a great texture. The sushi is plated beautifully in a way I’ve never seen before, and the wasabi and ginger sides tasted fresh. The house salad dressing was delicious, and they prepare it with a good salad mix, which was nice because most places use iceberg lettuce! Overall the meal was super yummy and comforting on a chilly night. The Owner/ Head chef was sweet and informative. We will definitely be coming back. Can’t wait!
