I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience. We waited about an hour for our food, which was disappointing, especially since the restaurant didn’t seem overly busy. When the wings finally came out, they were overcooked and pretty dry, with not much meat on them. For the price and the wait time, I expected better quality and portion size.

Great dining experience at lunchtime. The shrimp poboy was delicious with a generous pile of well-seasoned, large shrimp on it. The seasoned fries that accompanied it were also delicious. I got food envy over the Cajun pasta and the crawfish ravioli being enjoyed by other members of our party, and I will probably be getting one of those next time. Service was friendly and efficient. I will be going back!

This is the new hot spot in Hattiesburg. Atmosphere is awesome. Service was phenomenal, the waitress was so sweet and attentive. Food was super good and reasonably priced. Even if you weren’t hungry this is a great place to just grab a drink. Will be coming back!!

Great service and food! Our server Mari was super kind and attentive. Great new place to eat! My parents and I came on a Saturday and were able to get food off of the Sunday brunch menu. This was great because my dad loves brunch. The beignets were pretty good! Waffles were big! Mom got the chicken Alfredo and was impressed, she appreciated that you could get a cup rather than a full bowl.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Harbor Bar & Grill,and I must say,it was an outstanding experience! I tried their Poydras chicken sandwich,and it was nothing short of delicious juicy,flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The buffalo wings are too delicious which has the right amount of kick, it made for a mouthwatering meal that I can’t stop thinking about! I can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu !

I wanted to like this place, but the pictures online do not match what you get. The menu is very limited and of that limited menu, half the things on it were not available. The service was slow and our waitress hardly ever came by our table, and it was not packed as it was 2:45 in the afternoon. The crawfish ravioli wasn’t terrible, though did taste frozen. My daughter said the cheese logs were good. I opted for nachos and they were 0/5 stars. I ordered them with the added beef and when they came out, there was no meat. They took it back and added a chopped up hamburger to it. There was no seasoning on any of it and the big bowl of chips barely had any cheese. I have had better servings of nachos at high school concession stands. I definitely do not recommend based on our first and only experience there.

Today was my first visit, around 6:30 pm.. I ordered sweet tea and red beans and rice to go and it was the best red beans in town by far! You get a huge sausage link, Plus cut up sausage and it actually has some spice kick to it!! I can speak for nothing else because I didn’t try anything else. I did see a fish sandwich and it made me second guess my decision to get the red beans.. that fish sandwich was a whole fried fillet it was trying to lure me in. It almost caught me!!! This food has love and soul dripping off it! Please go try it for yourself!

Best peruvian ceviche in Mississippi. Thank you chef Victor for making the best Peruvian ceviche for us!!!! Food is just amazing. I highly recommend the chips, catch of the day with veggies and rice. Service is great, kind and attentive.

We visited Harbor Bar & Grill about a week after it opened, and considering how new it was, they handled our large party of 17 surprisingly well. Our single server did a fantastic job managing everything on his own—even with a cast on his wrist. Truly impressive service under pressure.
That said, there were a few hiccups. The bar wasn’t fully stocked yet, so they couldn’t make many of the drinks on their menu—including any of the daiquiris. Most of our group ended up with beer, while I went with a hard cider.
As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. Some items were excellent—especially the appetizers. The crawfish beignets, meat pies, and New Orleans popcorn were a hit and I’d absolutely order them again. I had the beef sliders with cheese, and they were full of flavor. On the other hand, a few dishes missed the mark. Some of the grilled veggies (both as sides and on the veggie plate) were undercooked and lacked seasoning. The pasta didn’t get great feedback, and the nachos—while topped with tasty shrimp and beef—fell flat overall. We did discuss our food Yays & Nays with our waiter at the end of the night for feedback. Some of our party also know one of the owners so this is not a bashing; It’s an honest review.
The restaurant has outdoor seating, which would be nice on a cooler day—or if you don’t mind the full blast of South Mississippi heat.
Harbor also transforms into more of a nightlife venue after dinner hours. Live bands play from 8 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday, and by 11 p.m., it shifts into a DJ-led nightclub. There’s a cover charge depending on your age, so be prepared. Once the band starts, the main dining area gets very loud—conversation becomes nearly impossible.
All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, even if the atmosphere wasn’t quite what we’re used to. Our group tends to be a little loud and playful, and this vibe was a bit more structured. Still, I’d be open to giving them another try once they’ve had more time to settle in and smooth things out.
