Customer service is excellent, the pricing is good, the bathroom is clean, the seating is nice.
If you want authentic Pacha, this is the place for it. They also have other items in the menu.
My friend, sister, and I visited this restaurant based on positive online reviews, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, several issues arose. First, they did not offer complimentary water—we were required to purchase bottled water and retrieve it ourselves from a refrigerator.
Our waitress seemed unfamiliar with the menu and repeatedly had to consult the chef for basic information about the dishes. When our food arrived, several items were incorrect, including a dish we didn’t order. The server attempted to explain that we had to order a full portion instead of two pieces, but later we discovered this was inaccurate. In reality, she had brought us three orders instead of one and refused to acknowledge her mistake.
When we finally received the correct meals, the food quality was extremely disappointing. We politely voiced our concerns about the taste and even questioned whether the red snapper was actually red snapper, as it neither looked nor tasted like it. Unfortunately, neither the waitress, the chef, nor the owner was open to feedback. Instead of addressing our concerns, the owner suggested that we simply weren’t accustomed to Mediterranean cuisine. This assumption was especially offensive given that my friend is of Lebanese and African-American heritage, and all of us frequently enjoy Mediterranean dining.
The situation worsened when the owner made inappropriate and racially charged remarks, suggesting we would have been better off eating Mexican food and implying we couldn’t appreciate high-quality cuisine. My sister, a business owner who regularly dines at fine establishments, made it clear that our dissatisfaction had nothing to do with inexperience or affordability.
To make matters worse, we observed people entering from outside without washing their hands before entering the kitchen and handling food. The area where fish was stored was not properly cleaned or sanitized between uses. The bathroom was unsanitary, with rice in the sink—possibly indicating it was used to rinse food, which is highly inappropriate.
Additionally, an undisclosed service charge was added to our bill. It was not mentioned on the menu, nor were we informed in advance, which felt deceptive.
Regrettably, we had to pay for food that we ultimately threw away. I left the restaurant hungry and deeply upset by the entire experience.
Eating in Ishtar. As we were leaving the plaza, 2 gentlemen walked in and walked out because no one was there. This was at 7:34pm. The place is so clean as no one is being served. Makes me think the place is just for show.
