I’m not too crazy about their use of AI art for their store which makes the vibe weird. However, their food does make up for that. The fried chicken is spicy with the stated levels and their milk drinks are good. This might best the best place for fried chicken in Cheyenne. The chicken is hot, juicy, and flavorful. The breading is almost crunchy too. One thing for sure in my views is that this is the only place in Cheyenne that understands good spicy fried chicken. If you like it extremely spicy, they can do that for you.

My husband and I were in the mood for chicken and decided to try Owen’s Hot Chicken and we were so happy we did! I personally don’t like spice so I ordered chicken tenders with fries and everything was so delicious! Hands down the best chicken tenders I have ever had. My husband ordered spicy wings and loved them as well! I also got a Muddled Lime Tea and it was so good!
We highly recommend it and will be back!

My husband and I were just driving by the neighborhood, and saw the restaurant. Intrigued by our love for hot friend chicken we went in, with no expectations. And, oh boy! We are happy we found our new favorite fast food spot in town. The chicken was so crispy and delicious, and their fries are soft in the inside while crispy from the outside. And their house sauce compliments everything so well together. Definitely recommend getting extra sauce because is really good! We also tried their guava lime ice tea and it’s so refreshing, and perfectly balanced since is not super sweet. This will be our new go to spot now!

I’ll preface this by mentioning today was the grand opening – so I will cut them some slack. I waited in the drive thru for almost exactly 1 hour before getting my food. I thought maybe they weren’t adequately staffed, but when I got to the drive thru window I could see they had plenty of people working and they were all hustling. It takes time to become efficient so I really hope in due time they get quicker.
The food was great: it was everything I hoped it would be, which doesn’t happen often. The only tender meal they offer is a 2 piece, so I paid an extra $5 for another tender. That proved to be unnecessary, the pieces are huge. I got the medium spice and it was not very hot, so next time I’ll try a hotter one.
I’m happy to give Owen’s Hot Chicken its first 5 star review. Normally I wouldn’t do that because of how long I had to wait for my food, but we don’t have anything like this in Cheyenne and I want this restaurant to be successful. Be nice to your local businesses folks, this place has potential and the food is stellar.

AMAZING chicken wings, possibly the best I have ever had. This ain’t no anorexic KFC or WingShack puny wings, these things are huge! Packed with flavor, I got extra hot spice and it was just right. I skipped the combo and just got 2 single wings, filled me up! I would highly recommend you try this place, it’s the best chicken in town for real!!!!!!

Having lived in the south for several years in the past, I find it hard to find good chicken places. I’m so glad my husband decided not to use MapQuest because we found Owen’s Hot Chicken while trying to navigate back to the hotel.
We had the chicken sandwich, fries, and hand-muddled tea (Jasmine-plum-lime tea and guava-lime). The chicken tenders in the sandwich were huge, juicy, flavorful pieces of chicken covered in tasty, crunchy breading snuggled in a warm soft bun. We ordered medium spicy…definitely go with less spicy/not spicy if you cannot handle the “heat.” The magic sauce used definitely enhanced the overall flavor of the sandwich. The fries were thick cut fries. – crunchy on the outside but “potatoey” on the inside. The teas…words will do them no justice so all I’ll say is we bought two more to go. The staff were very courteous, helpful, and patient when we couldn’t decide on what to order…they didn’t give us the stink eye, and we ate so glad their recommendations worked out well for our taste buds and bellies. We leave Cheyenne tomorrow and have planned to return to Owen’s Hot Chicken, using MapQuest, to fill up before we go. God bless you, Owen’s Hot Chicken.

Owens Hot Chicken is the start to something that could be great. The Chicken is legit and I ordered hot and it was in fact hot. My wife ordered medium and there wasn’t much of a difference between the hot and medium. The Bread needs a serious upgrade. The prices are a little bit higher than I would like to see for the quantity given. But the sides were delicious. Also whatever bbq typa fry sauce they are using is really good. The people working were super nice and overall It was great. I hope to see this business improve and become a great place to substitute my canes chicken addiction.

Not only is the price great for the amount of food you get, the food is so good! Have the three chicken wings, which are so big! They were amazingly crispy, and so flavorful! The mashed potatoes with gravy were perfect and Mac and cheese with pimentos is so good!
Then they drinks, like they don’t stop with the flavor in just the food! I had the strawberry milk tea and the grapefruit lime tea… So good. The grapefruit lime is my new favorite drink. We will definitely be back! Thanks for being friendly, kind and having amazing food and drinks Owens hot chicken!

Great chicken & fun decor! Chicken for everyone! No spice or lots of spice. Good sides & tenders were great! Looking forward to trying the rest of the items. Mac & chicken & potatoes were good.
