I had a great experience at Abbie’s Deli. The food was fresh, flavorful, and you can tell everything is made with care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.

It’s one of those places that feels like a true local gem. Great food, great people, and a spot you’ll definitely want to come back to. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

I’ve been looking for a spot here in Labelle to get a good sandwich. I’m from Chicago so I know a good sandwich. But, First glance from the outside, not bad, not bad. As soon as I walked inside, there was like no life in there the lights were off to the right where the seated area is and not even greeted not hello. How are you? Nothing you know most places have a a menu board on the wall. She has a piece of paper there and the prices are nothing what they are like online so the prices online are so much different than this piece of paper she’s got there. I saw a Cuban sandwich for $7.99 the paper said $9.99 and for a large with drink $18. A little steep. I asked for the Cuban sandwich large and she said it was 12 inches. That was bigger than 12 inch sandwich. But she didn’t wash her hands started putting my sandwich together and all I saw was ham and cheese, mustard and pickles no pork So I gave it the benefit of the doubt. And left, She put the sandwich in the press, not for long. I don’t know why it was warm, but I got out of the car broke it open, and it wasn’t appealing. The bread was still cold. The meat was really really cold.I could’ve gotten a better Cuban sandwich for a fraction of the price at 7/11. I won’t be back, especially for the price you charge for a crappy sandwich like that. And a few people recommended this place. But, I still ate it. Especially for paying $19

My review will center on two excellent side dishes: Italian Pasta and Macaroni Salad. The pasta dish eschews black olives (they add too much oil in my opinion) and includes finely diced carrot to add texture without an overpowering flavor of its own. The dish has just enough bite to make a statement without all the oily undertones. Of course any macaroni salad will bring a subtle flavor, and that’s why some chefs spice it up. (ew.) Not here! The recipe remains subtle, with finely diced carrot adding both a subtle flavor you can taste plus a light crunch you can appreciate. These side dishes are a chef’s kiss! ‍

I’ll admit the sandwich was good, Not great but different enough to be pleased. Certainly not worth the bait and switch online showing 999 and I was charged $16 not including drink or chips.
The attitude was just as bad.
Also if you’re into sanitation, not the place for you either

I can’t emphasize enough that if you want a deli-style sandwich in LaBelle, you owe it to yourself to try this establishment.

Abbie’s is a simple establishment in Port LaBelle that offers take out and dine-in service. There is a small bar, an equally small dining room, and what appears to be an attached dining area accessible from outside.

The deli counter dominates the interior. Boar’s Head cheeses and meats, as well as fresh bakery goods like cookies and baklava are clearly displayed there.

The ambiance isn’t fancy or heavy on theming, but it’s plain that isn’t high on the priority list. The establishment is clean and other than a couple of Middle eastern cityscape photos, the thing that sticks out the most is the array of dollar bills with greetings and well-wishes hanging all over the place.

Service was friendly and there was a heavy sort of family feel to the whole experience. While we waited for our order, we chatted with all of the staff and they made the pride they took in their products pretty clear. We were even treated to a freshly baked date cookie (a pastry filled with a date paste) as we hung around.

The food was outstanding. As deli experiences go, Publix is generally regarded as king in this area, and Subway is sort of the one you find everywhere that you go to for convenience, because you know no better, or because you have no alternative. Abbie’s is a genuine “where the locals in the know eat” establishment that offers superior quality and quantity at a superior price point compared to its competition.

I had the falafel platter. It’s no longer on the menu, but if you can get it, it’s the best I’ve had. The falafel is perfectly prepared and served with loads of fresh veggies, flavorful sauce, and served on a warm gyro. If you order the platter, plenty of fries and a can of soda come along with it.

The traditional gyro that my wife ate had lots of meat, cut thicker than average for what we’ve generally encountered, paired with tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce.

My mother-in-law had a foot-long roast beef sandwich that she kept fairly basic. She ate half. It was interesting watching as they seasoned the bread with olive oil and a blend of herbs.

If you want a deli sandwich here or are looking for gyro or falafel, then kick the others to the curb and seek this place out. Your tongue, tummy, and pocketbook will likely be pleased with the decision.

It kinda feel like this place is going downhill. I just hope they can rebound if they are going through some tough times. Seems to be very cozy when it was at full scale like I seen in previous pictures.

Barely edible and definitely not fresh. Ordered a roast beef sub. Meat was presliced and cut too thick. Barely any meat on the sub too. At almost double the price of a publix sub, won’t be back.

Small spot tucked away but well worth the trip. I ended up getting a meatball sandwich and it was amazing. The bread was fresh and crunchy and the seasoning with the oil on top of the bread just made sandwich that much better. I ate almost the whole sandwich before I drove back home lol. Well worth the money.
