This place was popping, parking in the neighborhood took a few laps to secure. It was a busy Friday night and it took a minute to get a drink. We opted for the seltzers and IPA on draft. The patio can get busy but people accommodate and make room for each other. Only seemed to be one bathroom and it always had a line. A few vendors outside peddle their artistic creations so that’s a bonus.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Issipi in St. Louis, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! The ambiance of the bar was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day.
A huge shoutout to bartender Tylr, who truly made the night unforgettable. His knowledge of the drink menu was impressive and he skillfully crafted the perfect cocktails tailored to my taste. Tylr was not only attentive but also incredibly personable, adding a special touch to the evening.
The overall vibe, great drinks, and exceptional service made my visit to Issipi a five-star experience. I can’t wait to return and try more of their amazing offerings! Highly recommended!

I visit Ssippi pretty often—so much so that one of the bartenders even remembers I always order Lambrusco! Naturally, my partner and I chose to celebrate my birthday weekend there (10/3/25). The wine and music, as always, were excellent.
Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing due to the bartenders on shift that night. I didn’t recognize any of the three women working, and their service was the worst I’ve ever encountered—not just at Ssippi, but anywhere. I was noticeably skipped over multiple times while trying to order, and even guests around me picked up on it.
Was it racially motivated? Possibly. I can’t say for sure, but it certainly felt that way—and on my birthday, no less. It was hurtful, especially at a place I used to enjoy and frequent regularly.
I truly hope the owners take the time to read and reflect on this. I’d love to feel welcomed again at a place that once felt like a go-to spot.

The bartenders were so kind and the fact that they had vegan ramen was a 10/10

After moving out of St. Louis, I visit the city from time to time and love exploring new spots. My friend took me to ‘Ssipi for drinks, and I was impressed by how cute and well-managed it is! They have a great wine selection, and I really enjoyed their olives and bread. The servers were super friendly, and the patio was lovely. I’ll definitely keep coming back to ‘Ssipi!

The outside area is the biggest winner in the bar second to the nice menu written in white on a huge mirror. Its chill , the lighting and music are lovely and low. The seating inside could be a bit more comfortable, but a small proce to pay for the experience. It is a wine bar, they have cocktails and beer in cans, fyi.

The gummy bears are just gummy bears! But they are so yummy! Yummy gummy. They also have warm sourdough and hummus, cup noodles, etc! The cola+wine combo was delightful and the vibe was 40-year-old chill…

‘Ssippi is a vibe. Fun aesthetics and a lovely patio with shade coverings. Great wine bar. Had a few nonalcoholic options: sodas and botanicals mainly.

This wine bar effortlessly delivers on every front from aesthetics to ambience, it’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully curated. The space strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort, making it ideal for everything from date nights to late-night hangs with friends.
What truly sets this spot apart, though, is its commitment to blending great wine with great music. Hosting top-tier DJs like Umami and Illtemperament is a brilliant move, not only does it elevate the overall experience, but it also creates an atmosphere that keeps people coming back. The energy is consistently fresh, stylish, and inviting.
Whether you’re there for the carefully selected wine list, the ambiance, or the undeniable vibe, this place knows how to deliver. A standout in the scene and a blueprint for how to do a wine bar right.

Amazing wine list, atmosphere, and service. Had a glass and a bottle and both recommendations were spot on what I was looking for. Vibes and music were absolutely perfect and super happy a spot like this exists in STL. First time here and can’t wait to go back!
