Without a doubt some of the worst service I have ever received. It took nearly 3 hours for us to complete our meal. When we were finally given a table after having a reservation the servers kept going to other tables that had been seated after us. We were not given menus, plates or water. The servers brought our drinks to the wrong table and we had to call them over. The food was mediocre and incredibly overpriced. The only redeeming quality of this restaurant is the view outside. Do yourself a favor and save your money. This place isn’t worth jack.

If you’re looking for an, on-mountain fine dining experience with great food and spectacular views, Lookout Cabin located on the Canyons side of Park City Mountain is the place to go. Recently, I went there with a friend for lunch and walked away wondering why I hadn’t gone there before.. It’s an intimate restaurant, and exudes charm as soon as you walk in. It’s the only on-mountain full service restaurant on Park City Mountain with a full service bar. The bar seats about 12, so get there early if you want to sit at the bar. The inside dining room seats about 125, and the outside patio (weather permitting) seats about 100. The fare being offered by Chef Chris Durfee and his staff is excellent by any culinary standard and exceeds traditional mountain dining by leaps and bounds.

Our meal started with a generous portion of fresh oysters on the half shell. We then had the Cloppini which consisted of mussels, calamari, shrimp, fennel in a saffron herb broth served with sourdough bread for dipping. Our next appetizer was the Braised Bison Short Rib Poutine which consists of pickled shishitos, Heber Valley hatch cheese curds, grilled scallions along with a demi glace and red wine.

For our main course we had the Horseradish-Honey Glazed Salmon Salad and the Bolognese. The salmon salad, was absolutely delicious and the huckleberry vinaigrette dressing added the perfect touch. The bolognese included home made ricotta which was delicious. The portions were more than ample for each of us even though we shared them.

For dessert we split the Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake. Being a native New Yorker, I am a tough critic on cheesecake, but this was among the best I’ve ever tasted.

Lookout Cabin is open Thursday to Monday from 11:30 to 2:30 and reservations are required. I can honestly say that the food and service at Lookout Cabin is consistent with the best restaurants in Park City.

Three stars only because I waited for 15-20 to be sat by host guy who was running around and was impossible (it seemed like he was busy doing busboy duties which probably should be handled by someone else) to catch just to be told they are done service food. No one pays attention at guests walking in. When I told them I’ve been waiting for a while and the host didn’t tell me they are done serving at all, they let me sit at the bar and it was a nice experience after.

Food and the view are pretty amazing. So, may be make a reservation or come early to avoid missing out on a table.

Stopped in here for lunch with friends while skiing Canyons. While the beverage menu was somewhat limited (they didn’t have any draft beer and half of the canned selections were sold out), the food menu was comprehensive enough and hit all of the standard mountain classics. We shared the fondue and poutine to start, and both were delicious. We then split the chili, daily soup special, and burger. The burger was great and the soups were spot on. The service was quick enough despite us being there during the lunch rush.

Make a reservation if you can, but plenty of folks walked in the day we went too. Food was delicious! Favorite spot on the mountain to dine. They even offered me Gluten-free bread for my fondue.

Prepaid for a lunch reservation here a month ago. Due to poor snow conditions they haven’t opened up yet this year. Calling their number just rings 20 times am no way to leave a message. TOCK reservation system even sent a confirmation text and doesn’t seem to know they are closed. No contact at all from them and no refund has been issued either four days afterwards.

This place is a must. The prices are high, but you get what you pay for, from the initial presentation, the exceptional taste, the open kitchen and the executive chef checking in on your satisfaction. It is on my repeat list. Go here so it can be on yours too.
