Big portion enough for two to share. Outstanding poi and lau lau with very fragrant taro flavors. The Kalua pork had a nice smokiness to it and was moist. The tiny taro cake dessert was also a delight. Hanalei is known for taros so getting anything with taro should not disappoint!

Highly recommend this place for some true authentic Hawaiian food (unlike the shave ice / pineapple / açai kinda tourist stuff – which is all lovely but isn’t actually local food)! Great value for $, huge portion sizes, and great service by sweet local staff!
We had a taro burger (vegetarian option) that was so homely and flavorful. Also had the pulled pork lau lau plate which was incredible with the cooked taro leaves. Came with a big portion of rice and salad.
Don’t miss the taro mochi cake – wish we’d got another after we left!

Absolutely amazing food truck with plenty of shaded seating and delicious food. Service was so fast and friendly. Please spend your money here to support a local Hawaiian business. I got the strawberry paradise taro smoothie and pulled pork sandwich. Presentation and taste was absolutely amazing and delicious!

Loved the Kalua pork here. Very fast service. There are a few covered picnic tables to eat at right next to the truck. Potato salad has pieces of taro! I tried the poi. It was very good for poi, and the portion was very large. Definitely would go back.

This is the real deal for authentic Hawaiian cuisine. Savory Kaula pork and sauce added exceptional flavor to the sandwich. Poi and ginger lemonade topped off lunch. Don’t miss this food truck on your way to or from Hanalei.

The Lau Lau was good. That’s pork and seaweed wrapped in banana leaf. I liked this much better than regular Kalua pork and cabbage. This has much more flavor. I guess $14 is within reason. It came with mac salad which had too much mayonnaise. It also came with a yummy taro desert.
Also had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Not very much pork but it tasted good. Comes on a hamburger type bun. Very bready. It was small, but it was only 8 bucks.
But the disappointment was the mango tango smoothie. It was mostly ice and couldn’t taste much of any of these juices: banana, mango, strawberry, guava, or taro.

Incredible fresh poi! Finally! It wasn’t sour at all. We got the Lau Lau and Kalua pork plate and it was a big portion and SO TASTY. I had high hopes and this place exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a great authentic Hawaiian plate lunch!
