Terrible food. Sweet potato fries were ok. Sweet and sour chicken was neither sweet nor sour, had no seasoning at all just plain rice with flavorless orange sauce and plain uncooked peppers, pineapples thrown in why I do not know because they did not help flavor anything. Do not waste your $20 on this plate. I made the sacrifice for you.

Exceptional, which is surprising in an airport. The waitress, Daphne, did everything exactly right: asked me how I was doing a few times, was cheerful and friendly, and told me kindly that she’d bring my change when I paid with cash. It’s never a good idea for servers to ask if you want change, and Daphne did great. Airport food places aren’t normally good, but I’m really happy with the City Market. Thanks, Daphne!

It was mostly empty as shown by the photos and the second I sat down we were told to move to an uncomfortable spot for to-go orders only. The same lady that told us to move also let this dirty table sit for the entire time we waited for our food including walking past it at least 10 times (about 20 minutes with a bigger order). I get if it’s busy and you need tables but there was plenty of room.

Expensive, takes forever, and options to remove or add ingredients to your order when you make it from the self check out station. We order a bacon and mushroom pizza and for some reason it was spicy! Like how? Why? The service was awful. I will not go back there.

For the coffee bar in the hall. Latte was fine but had virtually no espresso flavor. Service had no organized work flow and they ended up serving a dozen other patrons that ordered long after me before making my 12 oz latte. I don’t mind employees with an accent, even thick ones, but for something like a coffee bar where communicating names is important it would be better for them to switch to a number system for coffee orders.

Really cool place and atmosphere. Very understaffed and food and beer doesn’t represent the actual establishments well.

Service-wise, Amanda did a great job but was taking carry out orders for 4 restaurants, seating everyone, and waiting all of the tables. The bartender never even filled our beer order, so Amanda went and poured them. Cheers to her. Boo to management for staffing like this.

They were out of at least two of the six Boulevard beers on their tap menu, and it seems like that had been true for some time.

Buffalo State Pizza was raw. Literally, this pizza was completely filled with raw dough and barely warm. We were told it would take 15 minutes and it came out in 5. Cheese was barely melted. Raw whole cloves of garlic on top which is just wrong.

Taste of Brazil salad was small, flavorless, and missing the chicken we ordered.

Really disappointing. Hopefully, the individual restaurants and whoever is managing the whole experience can take a minute to reset, staff appropriately for service, and ensure high-quality food is coming out to the tables.

I ordered a Pork Brisket Sandwich with Fries for lunch and I was surprised at how much meat was in my sandwich. It has become common to skimp on the meat in these types of sandwiches but not here. I enjoyed every bite. The counter against the window was a little dirty but they were also very busy. My server was friendly, helpful and quick. Don’t be shocked when you see your bill because you are paying airport prices.

**Update: I’m sitting here still eating this food I didn’t like and I realize…my blood sugar won’t like it but I actually do like it. It grows on you. The beef is really good. I’m not eating hard broccoli but the sauce grows on you.

It looks nice. Seems like it should be good. I think they cook it in the back cause the wait was a few minutes. But I made the mistake of getting the crispy beef from Bo-lings. I will gladly try something else next time but this was not tasty. The broccoli was hard, the sweet thick sauce did not have a flavor I enjoyed. But you may enjoy it. The rice was ok. The beef was ok too. I just didn’t like the sweet sauce. That’s on me.

Ordered the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit to go. Thank goodness I wanted to add some jelly to my sandwich or I would not have known my entire sandwich was burnt to a crisp until I got on my plane. Why would anyone serve anybody this disgusting sandwich and think it’s okay. I fly frequently and mostly early morning flights. It’s unfortunate that MCI in my opinion has the worst quality food when it comes to breakfast.

Great airport food. I grabbed a seat overlooking the tarmac at City Market Food Hall. I was waited on by Shanoah who was fantastic – attentive, professional, and kind. You have the option to order from one of four providers. I opted for the pizza from Buffalo State Pizza. Again, it’s airport food, but I’d definitely visit again and go for the same order.
