very nice little place, The food was good, not the biggest portions as you can see in the pics, but cooked perfectly. they sell home.ade james and jellies, you can see the little tubs on the table so you can try them, They were $6 each, believe they were 16oz. tubs, not in jars like I would have thought, they bring them out frozen, we will have to repack them and refreeze them.

My husband and I ate here for breakfast twice this past weekend. Food is excellent! Our waitress was a gem – so sweet and attentive! The homemade jellies and jams were terrific! (Try the red pear!) If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be back!

Love coming here, my friends and I meet here once a month for breakfast.
We drive in from different directions, and I drive from Spring Green. The waitress is awesome! We take baked goods nearly every time we’re there. Summer time is plant time. Her homegrown pants produced beautiful tomatoes. Like I said, this place is cool and the food is great .

Jamie is the best owner of a Restaurant my wife and I ever met. She’s always busy making sure the customers are happy and the coffee ☕️ cup is refilled. She makes home-made jam and jelly. They’re on your table ready for you. They’re FABULOUS !! Entire menu has great variety. Priced right for a working-class family. Family friendly dining at its finest with a little humor along the way. A little banter between patrons and staff is welcoming to us. How about you all ? Hmm ?
Stop in at Jamie’s Hilltop Cafe’ ! You’ll be glad you did !! ☕️ ☕️ ️ see you there !!

Pictured – breakfast burrito with American fries. I love coming here, it’s the only place in Montello open at 6am, the food is great, and service is always fast and friendly.

This is the kind of place the locals go. The breakfast was delicious, and the homemade jams reminded of my childhood. Yum! The waitress running the place Saturday morning was a sweetheart.

The food was pretty good nothing to complain about at all. As for the atmosphere it’s your old home town backwoods southern feel for sure; in my mind it’s awesome. Service was by far superb. Get samples of their jams to try (highly suggest the pumpkin) on your toast yummy. Everyone was so nice and talkative. Thank you for a great experience.

Quaint, little hometown eatery. My husband and I enjoyed the Hunter’s breakfast – two slices of French toast, two eggs, and two sausage links. No complaints, and the price was very reasonable. We ordered a pint of their homemade strawberry rhubarb jam, and it is delicious! Can’t get enough of it! Jamie was extremely accommodating (offered us her vanilla coffee creamer from her personal stash) and very friendly. Would recommend. We’ll be back.

Very good breakfast. Waffle with cherries and whipped cream. Both came in small dishes filled up….I ate it all! Mom had 2 pancakes, the size of the plate. She had 1/2 of 1 and was filled up.
