What an amazing experience! My husband and I were absolutely captivated by Calcuttas. The relaxed yet elegant space and beautiful views, even in the winter, with large windows providing natural light made for an unforgettable evening. The food and drinks were nothing short of exceptional, and the wonderful service from Amy truly made our visit. We’re already looking forward to a return visit!
We learned that one of our favorite chefs from the area is now at Calcuttas, and we knew we couldn’t miss the chance to dine there for Valentine’s Day.
We started with delicious cocktails from the bar. All were well balanced and elegantly presented.
The evening specials included a salmon cake starter, accompanied by a smooth dill cream that left us wanting more.
For the main course, my husband chose the prime rib special, while I was thrilled to discover Chef Shayne’s alfredo on the daily menu! I would gladly make the drive just for that dish. The prime rib was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy and bursting with flavor. The alfredo, made to order, was exactly what I had been craving. Chef Shayne’s culinary creations never fail to impress!
If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend Calcuttas. You won’t be disappointed!

We had our reception dinner for our micro wedding of about 30 people in the Gold Room. Sherry and the staff exceeded our expectations. Sherry was readily available for phone calls to answer any questions or concerns I had during the planning process. The room was decorated beautifully & the food was delicious. They also arranged a golf cart for us to take us around and get sunset photos around the property. The day was absolutely perfect and we leave our highest recommendations to anyone looking to host an event big or small.

Really enjoyed my meal here, I had the orecchiette pasta which was perfect after a day skiing. I was with a group of 8 people and we ordered almost every appetizer as well. The food all came out hot & in a timely manner. Everything was tasty. Would absolutely recommend coming here after a day skiing or just for a fun night out. The cocktail list was great too, everyone loved their meal.

I had one of those meals you do not forget. The burger was honestly one of the best I have had in a long time, cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. What made it even better was the setting. Sitting inside, warm and relaxed, looking out at freshly packed white snow covering, the whole place had this comfortable, laid-back vibe that just felt right. Great food, great atmosphere, and one of those moments where everything comes together naturally. Highly recommend!

Needing to pick up our new skis, we decided to meet up with our son and girlfriend and take them out for a nice meal. We didn’t realize that on Sunday many restaurants are closed, and those that were open near the slopes at 4pm were naturally packed. We decided to give Calcutta’s a try since it was a little away from the slopes. The parking lot was empty – not a good sign at that time. The restaurant is typical golf course atmosphere, simple and clean. The host was a pleasant young man, I wish he had been our server. The waitress didn’t smile the whole time we were there. She appeared annoyed that we were not ready to order when she arrived with our drinks. After our meal arrived, she showed up once to refill our water and didn’t see her again until we finished our meal. The place was not busy – two other tables of two people each. It felt that she believed that she was doing us a favor by serving us, very awkward. My son enjoyed his hamburger but just average, and his girlfriend enjoyed the Orecchieette finding it flavorful. My husband had Ray’s Reuben, especially given the $18 price, we were shocked to see that it was literally two slices of “thin sliced corned beef” throughout the sandwich. I had the Chicken Milanese which was one fried chicken breast with minimal flavor and a small amount of arugala salad on the side. Presentation was pretty but a good meal is based on the totality of the experience. They need to work on providing a welcoming friendly atmosphere, satisfying portions, and adding flavors that make your prices worth it. Head to DJ’s or Killarney’s instead.

Let me say- our group was eight people and we were just looking for dinner. The expectations were definitely in the middle! It’s winter and it’s a golf course country club, how good can it be?

The food blew our minds genuinely, I didn’t expect to eat THAT well. And Ryan was an absolute KING.

Ryan. Ryan. Ryan. The power of the human touch is exemplified in this man. Our group had been having a tough time on our vacation. This man single handedly made our NIGHT! -hospitality is an industry where people can make or break your experience and we owe our evening to Ryan. Someone please make this guy the governor of Vermont or something.

Incredible food, incredible hospitality, feels like I’m over at a friends house for dinner in there. 100/10 would recommend!!

Pretty terrible experience all around. First, there was no parking anywhere near the restaurant and I had to park across the street, which was very inconvenient. Asking the restaurant where I should park was met with a very unhelpful “anywhere”. Second, the decor is awful and looks like a bad college cafeteria. The chairs are very uncomfortable also. It was very bright and loud. Third, the menu is very limited with few options and no specials. How could you not serve soup in Vermont near skiing and on a cold snowy evening? And they somehow ran out of mac and cheese at 7:30PM on a Sunday evening. Finally, the food was mostly really bad. While the lone pasta dish on the menu was a little bit better, the burgers (cooked medium and including what they falsely claim is a Wagyu burger) were completely dry and inedible. Service was bad also – very inattentive and slow. I would never go back to Calcuttas.

I recently visited Calcutta’s, located on the property of the Fox Run Golf Resort at 87 Fox Ln Ext, Ludlow, VT 05149. This restaurant boasts a wide variety of menu options that will satisfy everyone in your party. Also, the view of the golf course and patio seating make for excellent ambiance. Here’s a rundown of our meal:

**Poke Nachos**: We started with these delightful nachos. The wonton chips were incredibly satisfying to eat—a great appetizer to share! 9/10

**Orange Cauliflower with Wild Rice**: This dish was so delicious that it was hard to believe it was cauliflower. It looked like a Chinese chicken dish! Anything that makes vegetables this enjoyable is a win in my book. 9/10

**Pork Ramen**: This new menu item had great flavor and wasn’t too salty. The pork was cooked perfectly. While I’m not a ramen expert, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 9/10

**Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and Cole Slaw**: The cole slaw complemented the sandwich perfectly. This was my favorite dish of the night! 10/10

**Chicken Milanese**: This chicken was cooked to perfection, and the lemon salad paired beautifully with it. 10/10

**Roasted Beet Salad**: The mesclun greens, roasted beets, and pistachios made for a delicious combination. The roasted beets were huge and so flavorful! 9/10

**Orecchiette Pasta with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe**: The pasta was tasty but a bit oily. Nonetheless, it was still really enjoyable. 7/10

Overall, the food at Calcutta’s is impressive! Here are my ratings:
– **Food**: 9/10
– **Affordability**: 7/10
– **Ambiance**: 8/10

Dined at this fantastic restaurant where I had the pleasure of trying their delicious salmon dish. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a succulent and flaky texture that melted in my mouth. The accompanying vegetables were also perfectly cooked, adding a nice balance of flavors to the dish. We also tried the delicious Brussels sprouts and the Vegan which was delicious. To top it all off, I tried one of their signature cocktails and was thoroughly impressed. The mix of flavors was expertly balanced and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal, particularly if you’re a fan of salmon. The service was also top-notch, with the waitstaff being attentive and friendly throughout my meal.

30+ years coming to Okemo, and this was my first (and last) time at Calcutta’s. Easily one THE WORST dining experiences I’ve had in town. Our glasses were empty for most of the meal, and our waitress was nowhere to be found for long stretches. When the food finally showed up, it was mediocre at best – but the service was the real disaster: slow, inattentive, and unacceptable from start to finish.

AVOID. There are plenty of real Vermont restaurants nearby in town that reflect the hospitality and quality this village is known for. This place doesn’t come close.
