Being new to the area, I’ve been trying to explore the neighborhood a bit, and during an evening bike ride we happened to stumble upon La Speranza—what a great discovery. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Multiple members of the staff engaged with us throughout the evening, creating a warm and attentive atmosphere that immediately stood out.
As a hospitality professional myself, I always notice the details, and La Speranza truly delivers. The presentation of the dishes, the attentiveness of the service, and even the fresh-pressed tablecloths showed a level of care and pride that you don’t always see anymore. It’s clear the team here takes their craft seriously.
A wonderful experience all around. This was our first visit, but it will absolutely be the first of many. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Went for Lunch on a Friday. The Server was really sweet and helpful. The Restaurant is an Italian restaurant, but the TV displayed pictures of Fuji, and the music played was spanish Christian, a bit of an identity crisis?
We ordered Pasta Bolognese and Eggplant Parmesan. The Bolognese was delicious. The Eggplant failed. The Eggplant was cut too thick, and therefore, not baked all the way, and the pasta was cooked too long, so felt really mushy, so did the breading on the Eggplant.
This restaurant has great ratings, so I might be tempted to try again, but order something different. The prices were very reasonable. Parking was OK.

This was our first time at La speranza and everything was amazing. We especially liked the calamari, the broccoli and parm dishes! Great service too and a charming atmosphere.

I always find ‘Pizza Restaurants’ severely lacking. Until tonight. Nice, clean, brightly lighted room with lots of people. Friendly, professional service and really good food all around. Appetizers and main courses, all hot and fresh and excellent. Plenty of free parking in front. We really liked it. ♿️

Don’t let the outside fool you into thinking the food will be run of the mill. It was hot outside and my only issue was being sat by the closet which housed the ac unit making me a bit warm. As for the food, we were pleasantly surprised how tasty and well made it was. From the suppli, to the meat balls to the entries, the food was fresh, delicious and offer a nice variety of options. Both for adults and kids. While there, several regulars came in and were greeted by the staff. Giving the place a warm family feel. I look forward to gone back and trying the pizza as we didn’t get it this go round.

So I usually do not like going out for Italian. When I go out for Italian, it either needs to be really cheap, or really good to make the effort worth it over just cooking something myself. Luckily, this place is cheap as heck, absolutely delicious, and portion sizes are quite generous. The staff was also incredibly attentive.
I will definitely be coming back and urge others to as well. This place is excellent and deserves the support.

Lovely restaurant with peaceful ambiance, white tablecloths, and smiling service. The food was delicious – we ordered the mushroom pasta (yummy!), eggplant parmesan (tasty and cooked to perfection), and assorted appetizers (the Brussels sprouts dish was a nice choice). The Chianti wine was aromatic and full-bodied, as it should be. Had some fun ordering a cocktail; the waiter was very helpful. Ours was a Birthday night out; so were several other tables, adding extra fun and joy. We will certainly go there again.

Today was my first time trying this restaurant. I was very disappointed. I had the penne with sausage. There was barely any sausage in it, I’ve never had an Italian dish with sausage that didn’t have lumps of sausage or a whole entire sausage or two. There was more onions and peppers, then sausage. The sausage was sliced into paper, thin pieces, I don’t think it was even a whole sausage.
I tried the meatball appetizer, the meatballs were burnt. They taste like marinara sauce and burnt flavor. I couldn’t even eat them. There were about eight pieces and they were all burnt.
I also had Italian bread. It was lukewarm with just butter and bland, absent of any flavor.
I tried this place because of the high ratings, but maybe they give the food they don’t cook properly to customers who order take out orders. Thirty plus dollars and tip wasted

Delicious meal had here. The pizza is very close to what I’ve had in Naples.
Atmosphere was rated a three because the walls are very bland, it just needs some color

We went for dinner at La Speranza on a Saturday night. We had reservations, but they were not that crowded.
La Speranza is in a strip mall just off norbeck road in Rockville. The location may not be exceptionally pretty, but the food more than made up for it. They serve Italian dishes and pizzas as well as some Spanish cuisine.
The wait staff was very attentive, refilling water glasses and making suggestions on the food.
La Speranza is more of a local family restaurant and a great place to go for a nice dinner without breaking the bank. But
All the food came out fresh, the appetizers were really good and the entrees exceptional.
I especially enjoyed the mango gelato, And the cannolis were not your traditional filling which made them interesting and tasty.
There is handicap parking available And the parking lot is more than adequate.
